Currently have some foam in the res Athena said it was from air stones but I never had an issue prior, they did not say if it had any negetative effects to the solution which is what I’m curious about, res temp is at 78f a bit high for my liking I have an air stone and Venturi in there and it raised it that high, just going with it as of now. Athena has their cleanse which kills the bacteria so I’m not concerned with that and there’s plenty of surface agitation. any thoughts would be appreciated.
When i clean my systems i use simple bleach and water.
Rinsing with water i know the bleach is gone when the foaming stops

Well fuck, just went to go do some LST to spread some light into the canopy and I hear CRACK! Split down the middle where I topped it, hopefully will recover

Yup you’ll be just fine. I tied mine together with a pipe cleaner and left it there for 2 weeks and healed up just fine.

I don’t recommend tying it with string or anything that could cut into the stalk. Keep up the great work growmie! ✌️

Day 16 after flip and starting to see pistols assuming this is where they will start stretching more

Great timing, only saw pistols Tuesday and they’ve started their stretch, don’t mind the left plant, pheno is just bad can’t get the twisting out and weird deformed leaves never seen a deformity like this leaf lol

Roots still looking good bud sites getting fatter, defoliating a little along the way to uncover bud sights, continuing 3.0 EC

The only way the venturi pump will hurt the roots is if it makes them tie into a knot, or stick together. If the roots are stuck to each other, that area will rot eventually. So it just depends on the current and where its flowing at. Ill say this, thats alot of flow in that. Pretty nifty venturi setup too. I might actually keep my flow low in my sites, and high in my res. I worry about the roots getting tangled in a not and not being able to uptake correctly.
I would say since its only twisting on one plant, its not ph. Id say its the pump putting pressure on the roots. Im not positive, but the retention time for nutrients during flower seems to be longer than during veg. Id say the twisting is either nutrient retention time due to high flow or the roots getting tangled and it not feeding correctly.
Other than that when I see twisting it was cause my ph was at like 4 or something lol. .res temps wont cause twisting in my eyes. It might cause foxtailing and fluffy buds if its too warm, but too cold hell from what ive seen on here and at home, it wont hurt a thing.

@Cashmeh Ph chills 5.8-6.1 never drifted it’s all good pretty sure it’s the pheno. I have the Venturi blasting the wall and spreading both ways to the roots on top of a stone underneath them for extra measure. I didn’t realize at the point of 12/12 flip not to change nutes right away, that’s when it started, nutes changing I believe triggered it maybe. Haven’t really had other issues once I took care of roots as well, still continues regardless of changes to res, res temp sits at 70-74, vpd is fine, not stressin it. Starting to think the roots are being stained a yellow from the Athena nutes making the water yellow. Already noticing huge differences in bud sites then the first time around, enjoying it. Still contemplating on changing to a Growlink/grodan rockwool setup next round.

So this is now 4 weeks after flip 2 weeks after seeing the first pistols stretch is starting to slow down, I won’t count for flowering days for the 2 weeks it took for them to start stretching. defoliated for the last time today just large and inner fan leaves covering bud sites

doing more research on what could be happening with the pheno on the left and i think i finally found it, called Albinism & variegation - caused by a genetic malfunction of the genes that regulate chlorophyll. @Aqua Man @Moe.Red

I dont see any variegated leaves. Can you take some pics of the plant in question?

Day 24 going to start tapering Athena core off, 3:5 ratio going to step down to 2:5 core to bloom calyx’s on left plant are strange looking, crazy hairs on both current EC is 3.6, they didn’t even mind it at 3.9 just feel it will be too much nitrogen toward the end, Athena is coming out with a new product to replace core last 3 weeks to give micros and a bunch of calcium without nitrates, will have for next run, really want to focus on getting a better root mass, partly fucked it up in veg from cleanse not working and swapping to bennies late

Today marks 6 weeks of flowering and I couldn’t be more amped on the progress of this plant on the right, Athena is treating these to one hell of a diet

I got their calmag at half the price and their balance works so much better than PH up.

I might switch to their 4 part, but atm I dont see a need to. Im sure ill convince myself one day.

They have fade coming out, it’s their core but no nitrogen to finish flowering properly, the proline I like , blended might be good for dwc though

So I noticed the left plant was actually hermied so I had to chop a little early before it affected the nice plant on the right
