Hey Farm,
Fairly new here, I've done a few grows in the past, MH indoor, gorilla gardening outdoor up on a farm, mostly helping out and learning and smoking for free. Trimmed more than I want to remember but I was never able to really setup my own grow until later in life (Late 30's) Just couldn't afford my own setup, or sketch to grow and get popped on my property, etc.
Times have changed, medical card and being in a rec state makes it a lot more possible.
So fast forward, had a life changing event during all this shit that's already going on, I needed to sink my time and focus into more than my work (IT) and my puppy, being that its mostly shut down everywhere
a while back I bought a little 2x4x5 tent, some ventilation, a cheap 600 watt LED from Amazon (WILLS) and a shopping list from various forums of all the things I would need and so far had a pretty successful first harvest, maybe 6 ounces. Made a few mistakes, looked inside too often, let light in during dark cycle, left the humidifier on full blast lol and I really thought I had LST down pretty well but the stretch, I was up to the light, they doubled in size and ran out of room.
It could have been so much more but was a good learning experience. Plants are very resilient, especially during veg and I want to master maximizing what my can be and hopefully will be.
Right now I have 2 Citral Flo's on week 3-4 and just topped one and Fimmed one (purposely, never had tried it) , 77 and 64% humidity. 6.2 PH filtered water. Used Roots Formula 707 soil, Have Fox Farm Trio Nutes and this time I am keeping a legit journal, writing everything down, bought a TDS and EC meter, as well as a pH meter. I want to really take this seriously and share it, this is the most amazing "hobby' the science is fascinating and I am just getting started with the basics.
I ordered 30 assorted seeds that should arrive any day. Not sure why I went with autos since I did just fine with multiple toppings, and photo period, but anyways.
I bought a 5x5 Gorilla tent that arrives... today, lol. After weeks of research and some really good advice from a friend, I ordered the Growers Choice / TSL ROI-E720.
AC Infinity Cloudline T6 Smart Exhaust, AC infinity carbon filter, and their line of airflow ducts.
I have been waiting like a kid before Christmas, so eager to build. I know I want to move the 2 I have that are going under that light because it's amazing. Wondering do I keep starting in the 2 by 4, like 3 at a time, then move to the bigger tent for all flowering. I have the 2 Flos and 2 more seeds which have been killer, but they are photo. Thinking 3 rows of 3 plants in 5 gallon pots in the 5 by 5, that ROI 720 will cover the whole tent for sure. Maybe grab a Spyder farmer SF2000 for the 2 by 4 and redo the ventilation to put the blower on the outside of the tent to give me more height. Anyways, I am open to any advice, critiques, etc.
Tent should arrive today and I can get it assembled and I really want to get that light up. Here are couple pics form the last grow, the new one just getting started, and toys in waiting.
Thanks
