Hey Farmers first time posting up my room here and since ive been doing some construction and getting some new equipment i thought id share with you guys.

Its basically a 3000 watt vertical tube with 1 MH in the middle and 2 HPS. The octagon is made to fit 64 plants in 3 gallon buckets. The shelves were custom designed by a vertical grower and the unit was built myself. This is only a flowering room no vegging what so ever. I have recently installed a sentinel chhc-4 and a relay box to control all my lights on 1 timer. Decided to get rid of the portable a/c and put in a LG 24000 BTU mini split. And will be getting rid of window ducting and venting straight to the attic. Decided to upgrade to a 200 amp panel to run all my crap.:) Here are some pics..

Looks snappy. What media you gonna use in your buckets? How you gonna water? Better yet how ya gonna drain? You're gonna like the CHHC-4. It is a sweet unit. You gonna just run the thermostat in the mini split for temp, I assume? Good luck with the project. I'll look forward to this thing taking off real soon!

The pots will be filled with fox farm ocean forest soil with a 60/40 perlite mix. The shelves are made to fit 1 propagation tray that fits 2 3 gallon pots. All pots are hand watered and drained out into propagation tray. By the time the lights turn off the plants will have sucked up the rest of the run off water.

Veg time will be 4 weeks and my weight goal is 5-6 pounds with only 3 lights. System is designed to use lighting as efficiently as possible.

Id think 5-6 pounds with 3000 watts should be very doable. Are you using
10"x20" prop trays? How far apart are each of the tiers? Where did you get that cool tube?

Sorry for the questions, ive been thinking about doing a setup like this for a while now, so im trying to gather some info.

THank, MH

Gawd!!!

All of you are so far above my head I feel like the "village idiot." Started my farm 6-7 weeks ago. Almost killed my ladies 5 times. This week they just started to flower about a week under HIP, 1000 watt. Perlite/Vermiculite in Rock Wool cubes.

I will post photos soon -- also my grow tent that takes up 1 corner of my living room.

Sorry to respond so late to all your questions guys. I got the cooltube at octagon hydroponics. The shelves were all built myself and the shelves are 18 inches apart they are slightly tilted towards the light so they all are growing diagonally to the light so that way the plant is getting light from bottom and top. Getting the veg rooom up as we speak. Ill post some pictures when i got a minute.
