thats what my roots used to look like in my cloner before i switched to H&G. now they grow straight out to the side, and instead of growing like 10 roots from the steem and those enlarging, they grow like 500 straight out and those divide into tiny sturdy root hairs. out of curiosity what nutes did you clone with? i was using GH then advnced and both gave me roots like that

thanks bro im considering tweaking the air manifold and seeing if air volume or static changes. i just hate to really test shit like that with plants in it. but experimenting is the name of the game.

aint that the truth brotha

very keen eye u got there. spot on. i was using GH, roots excel, superthrive. i actually was trimming every root bottom to promote horizontal growth but they just seemed to grow bak and not really bush out. my theory was since i used seedlings this time instead of clones. very interesting observation tho. i will have to consider wat to use next round. for cloning in the cloner i was planning to stick with power cloner.

Pest Preventative Regiment

I dont see too many people post exactly what they use for pest prevention. Ive been trying so many different methods i havent exactly found a gameplan i want to stick with. I figured id open it for discussion and see what other growers rec.

Right now I have a few things in my arsenal;

Pyrethum Bombs
Neem Oil
Azatrol
Forbid
GoGnats

I routninely have been spraying Neem oil and Forbid once in veg. I am ready to begin using Azatrol which from what i understand should keep most pests away thru flower. I will only spray up until the 3rd week of flower tho. I bug bomb every cycle rotation and transplant transitions.

Ive been researching a couple other products like;
Eagle 20
Sulfur Burner
Sns-217

If any growers have used these products and would like to share the positives and negatives please do.
+rep for good info

My shop is clean and sterile, id like to keep it that way.

i used this organic stuff called Dr. Pursifull's Organic Elixir .008 Bug Assassin, I only had a mild infestation of mites, but it got them under control quick and were gone soon after that...

I use cleanliness/Ona Bleach/Caterpillar Killer/BT for caterpillars, Neem oil, Ed Rosenthal's Zero Tolerance-herbicide, Insecticidal soap, H2O2-29%(?),Bonner's soap for a wetting agent, Yellow/Blue sticky cards, rubbing alcohol for scale. I use combinations of things and try to stay organic with it. I sometimes run into spider mites/thrips/white flies/caterpillars/ants/scale/aphids/earwigs so having a selection is key imo! I want to check out end-all II, I hear it does a lot of killing lol Don't forget that you can manipulate RH to kill mites, as well as CO2 poison those pests. Never tried the CO2 poisoning but I have read of others doing it in short periods or something similar. I like to add foliar feeds here and there and add things like SuperThrive,Silica Blast, Guano teas, HO CalMag+(0-0-0!), and so on.

Cheers,
Crom

Things look clean in there Boomer! Sounds like you have a good arsenal against critters. When I got my mite infestation I fed my girls Azatrol for 21 days then hit them with Floramite. NO MORE MITES! I tried neem, Safer's end all, Mitey Wash....and none of them did the trick. But the combination of the Azatrol and Floramite got rid of them.

subbed!
