The sulfur burner will deff help with keeping any mold away. Just don't use it too late in flower or your medicine will taste like sulfur. I stick with a few products: mosquito dunks for my res, Sticky traps for the fungal gnats, Serenade as a preventative spray for P.M. (used about once every other week up to 3-4th week of flower), Dr. Doom bombs for in between runs, Sulfur burner up to 2nd week of flower, and I have some flora-mite as a last resort for mites but to be honest I have only had a small problem once. That was my fault for not checking the new stock well enough.
Your set up is nice and clean, good job. I will deff be keeping an eye on this one as it looks to be interesting.

i used this organic stuff called Dr. Pursifull's Organic Elixir .008 Bug Assassin, I only had a mild infestation of mites, but it got them under control quick and were gone soon after that...

ill have to check into that. never heard of either.

I use cleanliness/Ona Bleach/Caterpillar Killer/BT for caterpillars, Neem oil, Ed Rosenthal's Zero Tolerance-herbicide, Insecticidal soap, H2O2-29%(?),Bonner's soap for a wetting agent, Yellow/Blue sticky cards, rubbing alcohol for scale. I use combinations of things and try to stay organic with it. I sometimes run into spider mites/thrips/white flies/caterpillars/ants/scale/aphids/earwigs so having a selection is key imo! I want to check out end-all II, I hear it does a lot of killing lol Don't forget that you can manipulate RH to kill mites, as well as CO2 poison those pests. Never tried the CO2 poisoning but I have read of others doing it in short periods or something similar. I like to add foliar feeds here and there and add things like SuperThrive,Silica Blast, Guano teas, HO CalMag+(0-0-0!), and so on.

Cheers,
Crom

thanks for all the info. i do agree with having a selection on hand for any issue. thats mainly what im lookin to achieve for this topic. Ive used my c02 ppm and it works but issue i believe was the eggs still hatch later even tho adults died.

pulling up a chair for this one. nice set up

thanks bro stick around

co2 at high ppm will usaully kills most pest

i will most likely try this method if i ever see pests.

Things look clean in there Boomer! Sounds like you have a good arsenal against critters. When I got my mite infestation I fed my girls Azatrol for 21 days then hit them with Floramite. NO MORE MITES! I tried neem, Safer's end all, Mitey Wash....and none of them did the trick. But the combination of the Azatrol and Floramite got rid of them.

subbed!

good to hear more about the azatrol. im lookin to have a large selection so all suggestions help.

thanks for touchin the sulfur burner topic. i havent read up much on it yet but mainly the point is to run the burner every other week to prevent PM and pests? of course i want to prevent PM and havent had to deal with it before but who know with a new location and new genetics. i dont have anything to battle/prevent PM currently so i think its smart for me to decide quick.
thanks for stoppin in i try to keep it clean but its all still a work in progress.

Im all about eagle 20 if you can get some. I don't understand how people are worried about eagle 20 if sprayed in veg once it's well out the system of the plant and it pretty much rids pm. I would much rather smoke my "eagle 20" bud then you're pm/sulfur buds (for all the haters)

I'm all about floramite and eagle 20 in veg only. Fuck pm and mites. My two cents

thanks for sharing bro. Everyone has diff methods to their grow styles and i like to hear it all and weigh my own opinion. They dont sell it here but i can easily order it online or my homie @ Greencoast said hed order it for me. Dont get my discount but shit mite be worth the pretty penny. I use Forbid in veg and its just as a touchy subject for sum as Eagle 20. IMO.
How do u like Floramite?

Dm Zone & Roots excel...

Still researching Zone but ive always used Roots Excel and am being told not to run DM Zone with Roots Excel. Makes sense it kills off the beneficial microbes but im weighing the options of which is best to run for a RDWC. I have a theory that the benefits of using Roots Excel over Zone will be seen in the end result, but i also dont want to lose a whole crop over an issue Zone would've handled.
Please share your thoughts.

i've noticed from many people that all of the preventatives work pretty well, just not too well alone. I tried azatrol, no dice, neem no dice, doctor doom spider mite knockout, no dice, but when i mix and 2 or 3 it works great. lately i've been experimenting with mixes, i have a ficus bonsai that has mites that i only treat 1 leaf at a time as i try mixes, so i dont really try to kill them all as crazy as that sounds, but since i've been doing this none of them have made it to my garden, and i have not done any prevents other than a half dose of neem to the roots 2 months ago on my soil moms bout a week before i took the cuts. So far best mix i found is light feed with neem, and spray with 1 part neem 1 part azatrol 2 parts peppermint oil 1 part wet betty. any update on the blower box? i really want to upgrade to one but i'm afraid its going to be noisy as fuck

thanks for sharing man. im def a believer in mixing the aresenol.
i just about finished the blower box and it def works well. doesnt completely eliminate the sound but now the "high pitch" sound is a lower db and the actual blower sound of rotating blades is mostly wat i hear. if that makes sense... lol.

i made the shelf larger to support the weight in the middle.
Box is constructed with pressed board outside for structure, and sound deadening board lines the box inside. The sound deadening board works really well.
$9.90/ 4'x8' sheet at HD.
This is great for anyone trying to make their spot a lot quieter and cheaply. im not concerned with much noise at my shop since its a commercial location and is normal.
But working around this blower can give u a headache after a few hours.
I am thinkin about adding a baffle at the opening of the box but im waiting to see how temps hold up in the box and on the blower's fins. ive been monitoring it for a couple days and this is def a trial and error program. I am already planning the new layout considering the work room will eventually be filled with 5x200 resevoirs. Im lookin for a new location to house the blower and make a larger box featuring a cfm intake/exhaust fan and pre air filter to keep small bugs out. but all in due time.

Hope this helps.

BudLust,

I am wondering if the leaf coloring in pics 9, 13 and 15 is normal for your grows?
I have some Grape Krush going now, about the same size with leaves that are worrying me. They look a lot like the ones in your pics.

If you say this is normal, I will rest easier tonight.
If it's something already referred to in the posts, I missed it.

Thank you, and awesome setup.

theres a lot of variations this round that account for the discoloring in my plants;
new location, new system, new nutes, dialing in all climate controls, leveling PH and lowering my PPMs... oh and these are from seed, not clone. which is a first for me.
so that being said there are a few problems i have recognized and have made slight adjustments to rectify the previous issues.
i think my issue was my PH was out of range and nutes werent being uptaken correctly.
if your ladies are lookin a little off then i would go over all possible issues that could be causing the symptoms. every single system and strain is diff so there is no one cure for any grower. its a learning curve and the more i learn, the less i know.

Whaddup Boom! Looking good brah! I've been lurking... Kinda surprised that your starting from seeds... So I'm guessing that you'll simply cull any males and then rearrange females or just scrog them to fill any gaps? :wondering
