Solutions to dealing with this?

What I've done my whole life has worked, but seems sketchy. I just rip off the 3rd prong (on my power strip). I figure if it has a surge protector on it, then I shouldn't have to worry too much about it being grounded. Something tells me it shouldn't be this simple, and I'm doing something really dangerous/wrong, yet I've never fried a piece of electronics in my life.

Just a bad idea in a grow room environment IMHO. I take NO chances on stuff like that.

I have a really good friend who LOST everything because his power strip was out of date. Yes power strips have a life expectancy of 5 years.

They make a little adapters for that. Hit up Home Depot.

:lock:Surge protectors made in metal casing is mandatory. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more heavy duty. Dont take off your 3rd prong.. the ground, instead install a gfi outlet and you got a hole son, now lick it and stick it:lock:
