so ive got a big buddha blue cheese, and a th seeds darkstar.
there doing pretty good, vegged for a while with 2 300W cfls, i think about 3 or 4 months, cant rememeber. (thats bad i know)
but i got a 600W hps and a few other things and im having a hard time with the A/C, more of because i live in an apartment and my neighbors can just about hear everything so a 424cfm can fan just kinda sounds reallly loud. even my ballast for my hps is kinda loud.
but honestly im scared to leave my fan running while im at work, or even at all cause the noise.

today, marks my wifeys 3rd weeks into flower.
there looking good, but idk, the top of my leaves seem to be a little too yellow. the tops are yellowish and not getting any worse, so far, and the bottom leaves look great, nice green foliage. im thinkin from just lurkin n readin that it could be either sulfur or magnesium or maybe that was managnese, lmao, but idk. can anyone help?
ill post pics.
darkstar on the right and blue cheese left. n yeah there pretty big in size. pics were takin a week ago on the 2nd week.

and theyre food regimine consist of peruvian seabird guano which is all i vegged with, and right before my first week flowering, grabbed some budswell, bud candy, and rooters michorizae and hygrozyme. i know the last two arent nutrients but i do see what they improve! ;]
still using mostly psg though, although mixin psg n budswell every few other days.

don't sweat it. it's normal for new growth to be a bit yellow, particularly in early flower :)

okay
yeah i was kinda thinkin theres too much yellow, but i guess its just growing quick.
well, status update...
bought 25' of 6" insulated ducting for 30$ at the store, hooked it to my carbon filter n 424cfm can fan, a wholeeee lot quiter! which is great. todays the first day im leaving it unattended and on all day while im at work.
and i added my other two 300W CFL's back to my room, hopefully will get more lumens than just a regular 600W hps. Ive seen pics from grows with just 400W hps and a 150W cfl, and pics of the bud right after harvest looked AMAZING. so hopefully i can achieve the same.
i kinda want to give a status update and update with newer pictures throughout the weeks till harvest, but should i start a new topic somewhere else for more pics and status updates?

Even though the yellowing is normal, I would foliar feed those babies for the next three weeks. Foliar feeding in the first three weeks of bloom will take care of that yellow and ensure your girls are getting what and all they need. I have found that foliar feeding with sea weed will also help with the stretch going into bloom. You could brew some of your peruvian gauno and foliar with that your girls would LOVE you for it!

thnks for the reply you guys.
yeah moejammin, thats a good idea! ive been thinkin of what i could get or use as a foliar feed, but didnt take psg into count much. i cant wait to take pictures later on today and post em up tomorrow, so much more growth!, and blue cheese is exploding in crystals at its 3rd week. blue cheese is actually a week behind darkstar, even though i germ'd em all at the same time. i HAD, world of seeds afghan kush special, and advanced s.a.d. s1, but they both died of root fungus.

That type of yellowing is not normal!

You have(or perhaps, had) a SULFUR DEFICIENCY.

But it looks like they have improved since the first pictures, something you've given them must have sulfur in it... if there is still yellow new growth you need to hit your plants with some epsom salt(magnesium sulfate).

since im at wrk til 5 all day, i dont water them. but as soon as i get back i mix up there nutes and airrate it for as long as i can before i water n have to leave. but everyday i mix it a lil bit stronger and stronger. this sunday will mark theyre 5th week, and so far as of yesterday, i mixed about (to one gal of water) 1 1/2 tblsp of psg(not all, just the dissovled bit) about 2 tblsp of budswell , about 4 or 5 ml of budcandy (igive budcandy to mostly bluecheese) and about just two or three drops of hygrozyme. that was about what i mixed up yesterday. today ill do just a lil bit stronger, then a day flush, then back to gettin stronger. im kinda thinkin maybe not a flush though, i dont want my plants to get clean water and think they need to start sumthin funky like depleting the leafs of nitrogen. i want to push em and keep em as healthy and not have the pistils start browning yet. thnx foco, ill add sum epsom salt if the yellowing starts to return, but ill make sure its the life cycle including depleting nitrogen and not just a deficiency

Your last pics of your plants are looking healthy. I'ld like to see bud shots when you post some more pics.

You need to add Cal-Mag, especially the first 3 weeks of flowering. The other main culprit is ph. Do you check your nutes? runoff? Nutes lock out easy when ph gets out of wack.
They are looking better, but I'd say you need to tweek your ph.

today marks 5 weeks and two days into flowering. i took some pics yesterday n ill prolly get em up tomorrow or tonight, theyre amazing and so beautiful. actually i dont even have a ph meter or anything to measure my ph with, i just use my gut. for the most part i know what my plants need and how they react. darkstar seems to like more water n it drains quicker, so that kinda tells me im okay on the darkstar, blue cheese soil stays wetter longer when water them both with the same amount of water, but tht kinda tells me it may be more alkaline than the darkstars soil. idk, but i think ive got it down pretty good. i wish i had some nutes with a high potassium concentrate, my darkstar seems to really reacte to bud candy, but im not tryin to lose my original flavor either though, so thats givin mostly to bluecheese.
but yeah! if i actually watched my ph, ide be better off, and may even come out better.

Does anyone ever seem to think how HORNY your girls are? i mean, theyre main objective is to get fucked, right? lol but just acting like shes extremely horny, and talkin to them like they wana be laid, helps em? even though im not a plant. hahaha! idk just a thought

Actually - what your saying here is relevant. I don't remember where I read this, but there was an experiment done that monitored plants reactions to certain people. There were caretakers of the plants who talked softly and lovingly to them, and then a man who would come in and scream at them and slap their leaves and what not. The sensors they had hooked to the plants showed that the plants could sense when that guy came in the room and they got "plant scared" - I can't remember what device they used to gauge plants reactions. The point I'm making is, that plants are living growing things, and all living growing things react positively to love and affection. So rock on with loving your plants man it can't do anything but make them grow better. =)

Bluecheese

oh and ive got another thing i want to share with yall... one of my easy but 'advanced techniques' lol
Okay! i hold my plants sideways ( what i call the "TIP") hold them sideways under the lights for atleast 5min, all the way around. ill sit there and slowly turn them on there side. "girls in a dayz, sittin sideways" haha but ya, thats a technique i do atleast every other day.theres not really anyway to compare the size to another plant i dont do the tip to, but im pretty sure it really helps.

oh. and i think yall have noticed i have darkstar tide down, well... another technique im going to try is, right when i chop.. im going to snip the tape i have holding branches down about an hour before my lights come back on, and chop right before the lights come back on.
just hopefully there will be a shock to produce more thc, and actually the darkstar would easily be almost 6ft tall but i did tie it down and only topped the bluecheese. i dint want to lose any structrual integrity of the darkstar.
