I'm trying to put together a tent/UC combination and I'm hoping experienced UC growers will weigh in with their recommendation. I've read the recommended grow area for each of the UC systems and according to their website a UC 6 fits in a 4 x 8 tent or grow area. I'm wondering if a UC 8 can be can/should be squeezed into that size space. I plotted the layout in the attached drawing and used the footprint of a UC 8 with a remote epicenter outside the tent and it looks like it would fit, but I'm not sure if it would be too crowded. So should I stick with the recommended UC 6 for this space or go with a UC 8?

In the drawing the green is the tent, the blue is the UC 8 footprint, and the lights are in yellow.

I had the same conundrum. I ran the UC6XL with 2 Apache Tech LEDs over them and was very happy. Sometimes, less is more :)

I fit 10 8 gallon buckets in an 8 foot by 4 foot area... then put 4 net pots in each bucket.

Here's a pic...
Almost 4 weeks since I put the 2 & a half week old clones into the system. I flipped 5 days ago.

Sorry for the poor quality picture... my smartphone is old, and lights are off... The picture was taken a moment ago.

Thanks ken dog.

No problem... I figured I will show you the progress since I showed you the first picture... Almost 4 weeks since flip, and it is out of control.

I did not anticipate the increased stretch... I've grown this before, but without advance nutrients and Co2.
It doubled what it did before ... I have some bending and tying down to do.

Yeah I'm thinking of going with 5 x 10. I don't have room for more than that. In fact, that is pushing it. So are you going through a lot of CO2? What level of CO2 are you running?

1500 PPMs in veg and the first week of flower... Then dropping it 1000 PPMs every week.
One tank lasts me two weeks exactly, at 1500 PPMs.

The enclosure is completely airtight, with a small 6 inch by 2 foot opening in the ceiling.

Keep co2 900-1100 ppm. 1200 tops. Anything more is scientifically proven to be determinetal to stomata performance
