4000k Light help

Hey everyone new here.

So basically my question is, i have x4 4000k CFL bulbs. one 5500k cfl bulb. And one 2700k bulb. Will all of these totaling about 145watts, on one plant be enough for vegetative stage? Iv heard mix reviews on 4000k lighting. Some say it wont work at all cause its yellow spectrum not blue and id have stretchy shit weed plant, others say they grow from veg and flower to harvest only with 4000k lights. Some say mixing them up with different spectrums is even better. Some say 4000k are the best theyv used and always give nice short bushy plants. I dont know what to believe. Currently i have x4 4000k bulbs and a 5500k bigger CFL bulb about 3 inches away from my seedlings, heat is controlled dont worry. But iv noticed, unless the pkant is waving back and forth like it does, iv been seeing it sort of lean towards the 5500k bulb more than jus sort of absorbing everything it tends to drift towards the 4000k bulb. does this mean the 4000ks are doing nothing? Or does it just mean they are doing skmething but the 5500 is more preferred by the plant? Any help on 4000k bulbs would be nice. I just want a simple answer as to wether or not 4000k works for vegetative. I cant find much on youtube and what i do find is usually only 4000k bulbs that are leds, and are in excess of 150watts. Or, are 4000ks ok but only if they are producing a shit tonne of light or what lol. Im using CFL bulbs is anyone is wondering.

iv added a pic of my lights. they arent as red as they appear to be in the photo. They appear white in color to the naked eye. That bigger bulb that makes the photo look weird lol is the 5500k bulb. One of thoughs photograohy ones but still a normal CFL

ive used both,the blue is best though,i got growth from both but the blue did much better,i found myself swapping them around to get to the blue light,so i went and got 5 more of them,i made my own light with a old replaced bathroom light fixture,then i got ceramic splits,i suggest you do the same,plastic ones will melt,then put your fixture on a fused power strip ,if it over loads it will pop the fuse instead of your breakers,do a whole grow i never tried it,with all the lights i had seemed like about 3rd week in veg the plants slowed ,then i put the reddish bulbs like yours in and the blasted off again,so i combined them and finished out veg,just my experience ,folks grow with cfl's sucessful all the time,controlling stretch is all on you if you dig,moving lights up or down can damn near halt them girls from getting stretchy legs

Thanks for responces guys. Yeah iv got my lights quite close to the seedlinga ita got a light breez from a computer fan running off a USB phone charger head xD but it works to keep the temps of the bulbs down and also keeps the seedling quite cool but not too cool. It has grown for sure overnight but its not getting taller, which is generally what youd see, so maybe yhe lights are guna keep it short im not sure. Yeah to play it safe i will definitaly get more 5500k bulbs. Just camt seem to find 6500k in NZ.

for vegetative growth bulbs with a kelvin rating anywhere from 4000K and up to 10,000k are excellent for shorter bushier growth. In this range the plant is getting more blue spectrum and is excellent for vegging. 2700k and lower kelvins are for flowering due to the reds and far reds that the plant interprets as the sun going into fall phase and allows for better flowering and ripening of the flowers. Your 4000s will be just fine for veg. and if you want to get real fancy you can mix it up and use several various K ratings

you want them taller just raise the lights a bit

Thanks for your answer. Yeah its definitaley not growing upwards very fast which is good cause i want to keep it fairly bushy n short so when i flower i can keep it small but still have some decent dense buds on it.

side question for anyone, Iv got a few different seedlings and all are fine but theres one there its healthy, looks very good, but the very first set of leafs, not the seed ones, but the first two bladed leafs that come out, they have just stayed the same size. Or they have grown but fuck all. Im wondering if its stunted as if never had this before unless its just the strain they are all different seeds. Do some seeds take a few days to get their shit together befor they start growing , cause every other seed iv had the first set of bladed leafs grew quite quickly maybe 2 days they wer quite large but this seedlings bladed leafs are smaller than the original seed ones the roundish ones when they sprout.

hahahahah dont do like me,went to the local box store and bought 4 led bulbs,cant remember the rating ,think like 850 or so,stoner reading seen 60 watt bulb,so i got um wasted i wanted to split the scene,got home and these damn things need some kind of adapter to run 60 watt,bulbs are 60,100 and 150 watt bulbs,i found out that after i burn my tomato plants,i had them screwed in and jamming some light,didnt even think about it,came back in 30 min to see how hot they were getting,them sap suckers were burning a 150 watts and 6 of them,hahahahh fried them baby plants,i still havent found a adapter that it works with,lmao

Iv actually just ordered x3 5500k 45watt CFL bulbs they bit more towards the blue and bit higher wattage so hopfully that will help. Il likely use 2 of thoughs, one 4000k, and 1 2700k led

Thank you :) Would you possibly know how long it takes seedlings to get their grips together? I have some unknown seeds but were some very good stuff, so iv planted 2. They both sprouted, One is shorter and slower growing so im pressuming its likely a female however, the very first set of bladed leafs, the set after the roundish cotylon ? leafs or something or rather, they havent grown much, but the plant is healthy as, nice and green, short, il attach pics but the one in the smaller container is going good, the one in the bigger container has had thoughs small leafs for a while and they havent seemd to have grown although they got a tad LONGER overnight but not any wider or really anythint noticiable. Its day 3 for each in the soil and the one with bigger leafs has actually been transplanted and its doing better than the little one. I dont understand. in the pics youl see i mean one has nice thick leafs because theyre growing, the other ones are really skinny and almost deformed, but also healthy looking none the less. Is it just establishing itself? I mean after all its only been 3 days, but on videos ect everysones seems to be bigger than this. Least that first set of leafs anyway
