400watt gl80 tent grow (hope you guys can help)

hey guys im new to this site. This is my first coco grow and i am in week 3 of flowering, these pix are of week 2 of flowering. I will update soon. hope you guys can help me out.:)

-GL80 tent
-400 watt with aircooled hood

Nutes using:
Connie A/B (5ml per gal)
H&G coco A/B (5ml per gal)
H&G root excelurator (1 m per gal
H&G multizen(5 ml per gal)
H&G bud XL (not yet)
MOAB (not till week 4)
cherry sweetner (little pinch per gal lol)
botanicare liquid karma (5ml per gal)

What do you need help with?

The most important thing for a novice soil grower is to flush often to prevent salt build up. The salt will dry out your roots.

Check the ppm of the water coming out of the pot when you are flushing so you know when you have flushed it all out (should be almost the ppm of your source water). Usually this takes about 3 times the volume of pot you are using of water. For example, a 3 gallon pot would take 9 gallons to leach completely. Usually less.

A good rule of thumb is FEED FEED FLUSH.

Sorry I just noticed you said Coco grow...I was looking at your pics and saw the soil...my bad. I have no experience with coco.

lol its cool, thx for trying to help. Im trying to get the best yield 400 watts of hps can giv me. Last round i got around 3 zips off of 4 plants in ff soil that were infected with root aphids(what a nightmare). Im trying to dbl my yield this round if possible.. Am i using the rite amount of nutes? any advice would be very much appreciated.

If you want to double your yeild, I suggest getting a 600w or 1000w for sure! Why waste two months of your time and hard work on a 400 watter.

I mean you have a killer nute setup! Looks like you know whats up. But your nutes cost more than your ballast!!! And while your at it, why not get a GL120 ;)

Its all about grams per watt. You can always have your 400w in there too.


Mites and nats are always going to be an indoor garden issue...I always spray Neem oil on my leaves oncce a week until the 3rd week of flowering. It is an all natural foliar spray that basically confuses the mites and stops them from breeding and eating.

Mix a coulpe of cap fulls of Neem with a liter of water and a couple tablespoons of natural dishsoap (so it mixes oil and water and wets the leafs properly). Use a spray bottle, and shake it the hole time you are spraying to keep it properly mixed.

Spray on the underside and tops of leaves and on the surface of the soil.

yea i use a 400 watter due to electricity bill..anyways, My buds are small compared to all ur guy's OG grows...Can anyone help?? is ther something im missing???
