I am sure this has been discussed a 1000 times. I am late on the ball.

In re-watching the Green Guy vids, he says he uses a 430 in a 400. I am always looking to improve. With out the cost of Eye Hortilux, THESE have the initial Lumens. 58,000

I have adequite cooling and know these can be bought way cheaper. This was mearly the first Google link.

Thanks all.

The e-ballast MAY push a bit of the extra 30 watts via a bit more efficiency (?), but in the end a 430 watt lamp in a 400 watt ballast will only put out 400 watts of light.

It's not gonna make a bit of difference even if it DID push the extra 30 watts, IMO. Just not enough difference in wattage to notice.

good luck
