48 Hours Darkness before Harvest a Myth?

Since this is my first grow, I want to make sure that the 24 to 48 hour exposure of Darkness before harvest was something that actually works or if it is just bro science.

What's the purpose? To try and stress the plant to magically produce a bunch more trichomes? Pffft.

If you want to do that, get an ice pick and stab holes into the stalk. Or use a drill bit. That will stress the plant.

On the day that I harvest my plants, I do it whenever I get off my ass and feel like doing it... And when it is dried and cured, it gets me high just fine.

I doubt you'll notice much. When I haven't taken clones of everything, about a week before harvest, I put my timer back to 18/6 to get them to reveg (which takes 10 days to 2 weeks, typically). I have not noticed any difference there -- in potency or in yield.
