watered the dinachem x peyote cookies pot today with 4.5l distilled. have started watering every 4 days now so gals are drinking healthy.

the companion basils also act like soil moisture probes. when i see them wilting or with lifeless leaves i water. i guess because they have shallower roots they show symptoms before the gals do.

all fixtures are running at 60% atm totaling 480w over this 4x4 canopy. i thought i may want to crank 2 fixtures over the destroyers to 80% for a week or two but they look pretty happy at 60% tbh

i've always been afraid of having the plants to close together like that. are you not afraid of the leaves overlapping and touching or does enough circulation stop any mold or mildew issues?
just a newb here and trying to learn

my lights use 480w ac uses 650ish watts and my dehum is a 1400w beast haha.

pm i didnt see for at least 5 years but when i get dense colas i have seen budrot on few occasions then i switched to a bigger dehum like 750w after that i had very few cases of budrot on couple of nugs if they were so dense and we had a blackout during flowering and humidity spiked etc. but that dehum got toasted so i invested in a bigger one now.

getting that rh down and plenty of air movement inside the tent is the enemy of these fungal issues ime and with organic soil mulching to stop anything from soil getting airborne is always a good idea which i didnt do this time lol. nothing is full proof ofc but its the best i can do haha

gave the girls a little cleaning under the net. there was some dead and dried out leaves plus a little bit of fluff. i also have been noticing some bronze coloring on the NL. gave some kelp extract but tbh i really have no idea what it is and seeing its already progressing into ripening phase of growth not gonna chase major corrections at this time. but if you have an idea what this is i can be more vigilant next run with its clone bc this one smells so much like grape soda iā€™m thinking of keeping it if the potency and high is there as well.

anyway i keep noticing more brown pistils everytime i open the tent so we are getting there with the NL and Dinachem. Destroyer has 2 months+ left probably :)

progressing well and looking healthy. seeing more and more brown pistils everyday. especially the nl is getting close. it should be done in a couple of weeks hopefully. i also topdressed them yesterday for the last time for all except the destroyer. that ones has a long way to go still so it will get more.

oh yeah i found so many dried flowers on one of the dinachems at the back. harvested almost completely but it wasnt mold it was root rot because i noticed the water was pooling like crazy on that pot so i drilled a hole on the side of the bottom of the pot and 25l of water just gushed out of it to the tray underneath. so the drainage holes was blocked by microbial colonies which caused the water to not drain at all which was drowning the roots.

anyway long story longer that gal got harvested almost completely and it was a shame too because it had so much gas and chemical smell with super sticky buds. it really could have benefitted from another 2 weeks but still smokes pretty good :)

so all is well atm. couldnt find any mold or more dead flowers. so iā€™m happy about that. although there was a small blackout recently which happened while i was sleeping so it caused the humidity spike to 75%. this late in flower big no no. well it was just for a couple of minutes as the blackout couldnt have been longer than 15-20mins. still keeping a close watch.

also noticed destroyer is yellowing at the fan leaves on the top at an alarming rate. last tuesday was its topdress day but i skipped eventhough i said i will not haha i see some pistils are already browning and i always topdress with very generous amount of manure ewc and guano mixture when i do topdress so there should be ample amount of nutrients in that soil. still after i see the yellowing i gave it some liquid ewc, liquid guano and kelp extract with 1/2 tsp of fulvic acid lol.

iā€™m not very concerned about it

i also took some tester tops from the NL because they just look so delicious. they are drying atm and very soon iā€™ll harvest all the tops probably. definiton of nuggets, frosty as f, dense and heavy. perfect pheno for bag appeal iā€™ve yet to try the high though :)

remaining dinas are also doing pretty well iā€™m just waiting for them to swell up more and add bulk which shouldnt take more than a couple of weeks.

lights are now at 10hrs on 14hrs off. undercanopy temps 24Ā°C and humidity 35-38%.

when i flipped i started off with 14hrs light 10hrs dark and they all transitioned pretty well under that schedule though the stretch phase was longer under this schedule growth was also better. and after bud set i switched to 12hrs on and now for the last weeks iā€™m gonna go with 10hrs on.

anyway stay crunchy see you on the flip side and all that lol
