I understand that. I guess basically what I would like to know is if you guys have any good recommendations as far as lights for 4x4 grow tent. I was thinking more of a single 600w led light.
I would go with two or even four 300s on top. And use cheap panels on the sides. I like having multiple lights instead of one huge one then you are able to adjust them accordingly also no need to run all of them at veg. Platinum LEDs are pretty good because they use 3 watt LEDs and they really don't produce very much heat at all that is if you can afford them. The cheap Galaxy hydros also use 3 watt LEDs and they have an excellent Spectrum everyone has their own opinion. Cobs are great too in a 3000k but they have a tendency to produce more heat than the others that I mentioned. You could always mix and match. In my opinion heat is the number one issue in a tent. Of course the most light you can get the better but over killing it with a huge light could be counterproductive if you are creating too much heat. Be weary of 5 watt LEDs they work great because of their penetration unfortunately they produce a lot more heat. Panels on the side will make up for loss of penetration due to canopy and produce almost no heat. Don't underestimate those cheap $20 panels they work.http://m.ebay.com/itm/225-LED-Hydro...%3Ad1bb00f815c0a866dd4b2bb4fff6f87c%7Ciid%3A8Hi everyone I'm new to the grow scene lol I plan on getting a 4x4 grow tent and was wondering what I need to get my grow on the road. I would stay away from 10 watt LEDs.Hi everyone I'm new to the grow scene lol I plan on getting a 4x4 grow tent and was wondering what I need to get my grow on the road. Thanks

Buy a better light bro you'll be happier.Ok so I decided to downsize to a 3x3 tent and was thinking of getting 2 viparspectra 450w LEDs seems like that would be pretty good light spread for only growing 2 plants. My next question would be am I able to keep both spectrums of light on for my whole grow seedling-harvest? Thanks.
I would go with twoSo 1 large watt light or 2 smaller watt lights?
You can always use them for your veg when you upgrade your lighting which I'm sure you willSo 1 large watt light or 2 smaller watt lights?
No matter what light I might recommend there will be someone on here who will rip me to shreds. I use 3000k cob and galaxyhydro for red and I am pretty happy with it.Do you use the galaxyhydro lights?
Here are some pictures of my junk shit.Do you use the galaxyhydro lights?
The one in the middle is a roleadro with old school Cree chips and it's pretty good but it's small, but that's all I needed.Do you use the galaxyhydro lights?
The panels are cheap $20 panels from eBay put them on the sides and it helps your little nugs. Roleadro is made by galaxyhydro so they all daisy chain together. I would definitely throw a cob in the mix bro.Do you use the galaxyhydro lights?
If you're doing a scrog you probably won't need any light on the side.Do you use the galaxyhydro lights?
Technically yes but if Heat will allow I would go 2 600s. The more light the bigger Bud,to a point. There are so many lights out there to choose from I do not want to steer you in any direction. Technically any light will work. The 3000k cobs are good stuff man. It is a mountain of research to make a decision. The best way to approach it is first of all what stage you need your lighting for veg or flower. Secondly what is your budget probably one of the most important decisions. And thirdly how many watts can you push in your area before you overheat your shit. That's why I like to use multiple units. So I can buy 2 galaxyhydro 300 and be fine?
The roleadro I can't remember but I think it pulls about a 120 watts at the wall. They are trying to make you believe it is equivalent to 400 HPS they are all a bunch of liars just know that right now. All that information out there is bullshit and Miss information to try to get you to buy a product. That's why it is so damn hard to make a decision. Like I say I'm pretty happy with what I got and any light technically will work. I love the 3000k cob. And the Galaxy Hydro has a ton of excellent in nms of red and they throw in some ultraviolet and ir just cuz they know you want it.Is that roleadro cree 400w?
The Galaxy Hydro 300 pull about 120 at the wall also and the 600 pulls like 240 I thinkIs that roleadro cree 400w?
Just FYI if you buy the galaxyhydro 300 and want the daisy chain feature you need to buy the one that is like 10 bucks more not the least expensive one.Is that roleadro cree 400w?
If you put those two lights in there it would be more than enough. And to answer your question I believe you can run it on Bloom for veg as well and it will be fine but not necessary.Ok so I decided to downsize to a 3x3 tent and was thinking of getting 2 viparspectra 450w LEDs seems like that would be pretty good light spread for only growing 2 plants. My next question would be am I able to keep both spectrums of light on for my whole grow seedling-harvest? Thanks.
It's a bitch I know. No matter which one you buy you're going to be okay chief they all work. Just stay away from the cheap knockoff Chinese brands.Yeah I planned on a scrog.
This is the one I bought off Amazon. If you're looking for newer Cree chip cob I heard that Timber is a pretty good place to buy them.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01I...grow+light&dpPl=1&dpID=31uNsFn1yhL&ref=plSrchI appreciate all the info man big help. Do you have a link for the 3000k cob?
