I germinated my seedlings by putting a few drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10 ml of distilled Water, for aboit 15 hours. Then i sprayed a couple cotton pads a few times with distilled water on both sides and put my seeds on one put the other on top. Then i put that in a baggie sprayed the inside of the bag a couple times and closed the bag about 75% and not fulling sealing it. This worked amazing i got 100% germination rate (although this is my frist time doing this) and within 2 days they popped. I wouldve ph adjusted the distilled water but my local store didnt have ph calibration for my bluelab pen. And im in a rush to get then going because i have a vacation planned in about a month and i feel like it would be easier to know how often i need to feed with my drip irragation system when they drink more water. I bought some prebuffered grow!t coco to realise i still had to buffer and wash it so that sucked. I washed with a ⅛" strainer. I buffered in five 1 gallon pots in a plastic box, wouldnt recommend, they bags kept floating up and going sideways and i lost abit of coco from this but i put a milkcrate on top and that helped it. The best buffering technique i came across in my opinion would be with to plastic buckets and drilling holes in one of them. For the solution i did 150% of the recommended dose per litre of cal mag and the ph was higher then 7 both times. I rinsed the coco in running tap water untill i was getting a low ec runoff. Then i put my desired amounts in my starting pots (solo cups with holes) and put about 1 liter of around 6.5 ph distilled water for each cup. Then potted my germinated seedlings, im keeping my tent at 80rh with no air exchange because i cant keep my tent at 80 with my inlines running and i feel it isnt necessary for a seedling that hasnt even sprouted yet.

Hell yeah! Diving right in, I love it! Nice and detailed write up also! It’s great for notes later if you need them! Welcome to the Farm!!
Im super eager to start, i grew a crop last year it was an outdoor crop and some migbt say i shouldnt go to coco if i cant grow in soil. But its because i had absolutely no knowledge of what i was actually supposed to do. I was also not really willing to spend much at all. And i didnt consider how humid my area is and how often it rains. So i failed that crop, but ive spent lots of time researching and i feel confident now that i can get a decent grow. And im just so excited to be able to smoke some of my own grown bud and actually enjoy it! But i also really like gardening in general so i know ill enjoy most of the process. Thanks for the warm welcome, and i definitely agree the notes will be helpful, but speaking of notes how should i note, what exactly am i noting? I assume the ph, ec of the solution and, fertigations in the day, rh, temp, what else should i note, or is noting some things i named unnecessary any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to the farm! I usually have several things going on at once in different tents. So my note pad is formatted as tent A, tent B, tent C and closet. I keep track of when I watered/fed, first day of veg, first day of flower, amount of nutrients given and when, ect.. It really helps me stay on top of things, I'd be lost without my note pad lol!

Thats a great attitude! And being honest with yourself if almost all you need in life and the rest will fallow! : )

I have zero knowledge of growing in coco (im very new to indoor growing with a couple outdoor helper grows under my belt). But for the note taking that I find helpful is keeping track of what and when you do things to your plants and room. (Changed the height of the light today or fed with an extra that can only be given no more than once a week) the obvious watering schedule, any changes you notice in your plants, when you trim stuff or top. If you think you need to write something down, do it : ) and then when you keep asking yourself why am I writing this down!? You can stop hah, but all the things you listed sound like a good thing to keep track of 👍

Good luck mate, looks like you’ve really got everything you need 👍

I suggest noting things you need to remember, things you don't want to forget and things you might change for your next grow. When and how much you watered can help, when nutrients were added, when the lights were changed, etc.

I accidentally searched something else and didnt think this posted, i also have a 12 g resivour, a 400gph water pump, an aquarium air pump that came with 2 airstones, tubung and a 2 check valves, 1/2" tubing & connectors, 12% food grade h202 for cleaning, a aquarium thermometer, about 60l of distilled water, a 5000 ml measuring jug, 1 second interval timer, (which was kind of hard to find on amazon so for any one looking for one i got the nearpow didgital timer.), ball valves. i plan to make diy drip rings. i also have 1 gallon grow bags and 3 gallon grow bags, i got 5 gallon bags that came with my tent kit but i doubt theyll be necessary cuz im going to be running 5050 coco/perlite and plan to do high frequency fertigation. And im using gh flora trio, gh cal mag, botonicare silica blast, gh ph+ & ph-. And obviously a thermohygrometer

Update, all the seeds came up and i set my light to 18/6, its running 25 watts and is about 2 feet above the seedlings, all the cotyledons opened. I plan to water them today. To get my lung room to a higher rh ive set my inlines to the dehumidifier outlet on my inkbird humidistat and have my humidifier running 24/7 because i cant keep my inlines on without drying the fuck out of the tent so my plan is to slowly make the rh of the lung room higher not sure if that makes sense or not. Because although i doubt i will need a high air exchange this young with only a few i know i will later and plants in veg ive read like a rh of around 70-75 but they also need air exchange. Im not really experienced so to anyonr who thinks im wrong about something please point it out.

DAY 16: hey farmers, havent done an update in a little bit. My plants were stretching so i thought i should up my light intensity and that brought me into a whole thing of my plants being stunted. Then i fixed that problem and it seemed i had symptoms of underwatering, i was feeding 80ml once per day. Now i feed 50 ml a few hours after lights on and a few hours before lights off. They seem to be looking better, unfortunately since they were stunted their growth is kind of behind. Im going top after there is 3 sets of fan leaves so when the 4th set of fan leaves start growing is when ill top.

Day 27: hey farmers, plants were getting to close to eachother on one saucer so i put them on seperate saucers and put all 4 of the lights on (before i had one vivosun vs1000 at 25%, now i have 4 for full tent coverage.) topped at 3rd node the day before yesterday. Current rh 72% and day temp 25, night time around 20. What should i use to cool the room during the night? Do i really need a $400 ac or is there other air cooling options? Plants get 3 fertigations a day one 2 hours after lights on period, another 7 hours later and one 2 hours before lights off period 6 secs each apx 60ml each

Hey farmers, an update on the grow. I started mainline training, although for the first top i topped to early and overly stressed the plants out. I am doing 3 auto feeds right now. Im trying to figure out how i am supposed to properly clean the system, ive read to soak with bleach, flush with water. Then soak with food grade h2o2, flush with water. Then soak with vinegar ( yes i knoe its a certain kind), then flush again with water. Ive also read someone cleans the rdwc system with CLR and iso alcohol. Are these the only different solutions you can use ? Does anyone else have a different way?

One of the plants (the one thats been smaller since they sprouted) is quite smaller than the other two.

Am currently going on week 7 and plants are no where as large as id like them to be, although that is because i made a few mess ups that really stressed them. You live, you learn. I guess.

I plan to top the plants again, like tomorrow. They have grown to the fifth node on the main branches, i plan to top at the third or second node.

The ec i had was 1.5, the new solution i mixed for this week is 2.0. im debating before the first fertigation of this solution if i should dilute the mix with water. Because ofcourse a lockout is what i want right now.

Havent done an update in a while. The plants have just been growing bushy and not much vertically bur growing healthy. They are showing suns of to much light because i just recently adjusted the light setting. I did a little bit of research and realised that i knew how i could make my plants stretch i just didnt think of it. I just needed to raise my lights. So i raised my lights by approximately 12" from the height before in hopes that my plants get a little bit of vertical growth. I did a defoliation a few days ago, then did another light one today and then placed the trellis netting in attempts to spread the plants out abit. It worked and they adjusted really fast. As you guys can see i have alot of algae on yhe outside of my pots, i tried spraying the algar down with 3% hydrogen peroxide but it didnt really work. Any tips, is it even necessary to kill? I also purchased some vinyl tubing to replace my old drip rings and did a slightly different design to make it way more convenient to take off from the plants. I just put two straight peices with a plug on the t peice running from the mainline, and ties the ends together as you can see. I know i shouldnt use clear tubing but it was the only vinyl i could get and its so much better than what i had, the flexibility it great. Plants have been in veg going on the 9th week now im not sure why they are so short but they seem healthy i think they just need time, and the one thats notcibly smaller i think was just a bad seed. i know you should go by this but it was the one seed that was floating. the last one to pop, and always been the slowest grower so i just think it wasnt a great seed. If anyone has any tips that would be appreciated, but for my first grow i think im doing pretty well and ive really enjoyed growing, and im sooo excited to roll up a doob of this stuff. Im also keeping a 68% target rh, 18-19°c night and 25-26°c day, 6.0 target ph, 2.0 ec, with the flora trio, cal mag, and im also using silica blast.

Week one of flower, day 65. Ive had a fungus gnat infestation for a week or two know and the sticky traps arent helping much. Ive read you can use sand to top the substrate does that work well for coco grows? Ive also read to water less and let the substrate dry out more, but as i mentioned im growing in coco and im using salt nutes. Ive read good things about neem oil if anyone has any comments on that?I also have a really bad algae buildup on the pots, what should i do about that? Currently the tent is at 60% rh 26°c at day and 18°c at night but i might decrease the day temp to 23-24 this week. Also when should i start feeding nutes for bloom? Ive read i should still feed veg nutes for atleast a week after changing the light schedule is that true?

New update, week 4 flower woohoo! So my plants were doing pretty good for a little bit i ridded my problem of gnats and than my plants were showing symptoms of nutrient burn or atleast what i could best compare to nutrient burn. So than i diluted my res mixture from 1.9 to 1.1 and slowly increased throughout the week, now they are showing symptoms of what i could best guess to be a potassium defiency.

I would also like to comment that the viviosun vs1000 100w led lights are doing pretty well and producing nice buds, the lights are claimed to have 2x2 ft² light coverage, thats why i have 4 lights in the tent.
