edit: sticky traps work great on the ones just hatching and if your humidifier is top filling, leaving the cover off can kill a surprising amount of adults. It might be too late for that but its worth keeping in mind.

Spray with what? I personally would never spray for pests. The whole point (for me) of growing my own is that I know for a fact it isnt sprayed with poison. I would start over; something went wrong with how youre going about growing and continuing with this grow will just lead to disappointment imo.

Spontaneous generation isnt a thing, so the gnats have either been there from the beginning or you introduced them by getting sloppy with pest management(i.e. working in an outside garden or with house plants and then going straight to your tent, leaving the tent door open....etc) and the already weakened plants are a great target for pests.

You said they're autos so tbh they're probably fucked/done. You're not going to get anything you want out of those plants now.

Get some good trusted genetics and start over. Don't do so many plants. Get that temp down at least 5° and measure everything you feed it. pH and ppm every time. If problems start again come back here sooner rather than later. Once the entire tent is that far gone it's usually too late.

Ok. I'll try again, buy seeds. Is there a variety that is not very demanding for beginners?

Next grow, if possible weigh the soil dry in/with its pot.Now you know the dry weight or close to what it is bone dry. Water to runoff when the plant can handle it, then weigh it again. This is how I learned to stop overwatering after many failed attempts. In fact, I thought I was letting my plants dry out too much when I was still over watering! It’s very easy to over water as a new grower, and it’s the worst thing you can do to a plant.

If you can’t use a scale, become familiar with the weight of the pot by hand…it will be very light when ready for water, and heavy after watering..this takes practice, but works well.

A meter is a thought as mentioned above, but I’m not sure how reliable they are or if they wear out over time..probably smart to have one though, I just saw one at Lowe’s for 12 bucks..

tansplanting is another thought... give them atleast 5 gals... even for an auto...... transplant, water as little as possible... mist alot...

  1. Stomata: Leaves primarily take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen and water vapor through tiny pores called stomata. However, under certain conditions, these stomata can also absorb water vapor from the environment. This is more common when humidity is high, and the soil moisture is low, prompting the plant to utilize atmospheric moisture.
  2. Cuticle: Apart from the stomata, the waxy layer on the leaf surface, known as the cuticle, can also absorb water. This layer is generally hydrophobic and serves to prevent water loss; however, it can absorb water when conditions are favorable, such as during light rainfall or heavy dew. Water molecules can diffuse directly through the cuticle into the leaf tissue.

Environmental Factors Influencing Foliar Absorption​


  • Humidity: High humidity levels increase foliar water absorption as the gradient between moisture in the air and moisture within the leaf encourages osmosis through the stomata and cuticle.
  • Rainfall and Dew: Light rains and dew can leave water droplets on leaves, which may then be absorbed directly through the cuticle.
  • Leaf Structure: The structure and thickness of the leaf cuticle and the density and opening of stomata can vary significantly between different plant species, influencing their ability to absorb water through their leaves.
so... in theory,,, if you try to baby them through till they are large enough to take that many nutrients.. when their roots are set in the new soil... you might salvage your grow... disclaimer ~you still will have to water~

im having the same issue i believe it is overwatering cause it happened before but mine also were photos but i cut back on watering it stopped then i just did it again as i switched them into flower

also make sure ur soil isnt cold i didnt know that so my plants grew very slow
