From your hood too duct how many feet away should the blower be to get the most efficiency out of it?

make the run as straight and short as possible. as for distance between, i have always had 2-3ft of run between blower and reflector. i have seen many people attach a blower directly to there hood, makes the hood heavy, and as for efficiency, its hard to say. in my set up, there would be no sense mounting it to a hood. so find what works for you.

the shorter and straighter that ducting is the better, there is a ration that I think is somewhere around 6% airflow lost for every additional 5 feet of duct. That is based on 8" ducts
