Hello everyone I’m currently having trouble understanding why my plants are not growing in height. My plants are about 10 inches in height and seem to not be growing. The strain is lemon cherry and I don’t know what to do, do I put them in flower already, is this normal, is there a possible explanation for why my plants are just getting thick and bushy and not growing?

Wow you have a very interesting case. Is this something new? Have you grown with your setup like this before? If so, what's new?

They look very compact, like mini-trees. Almost bonsai........they seem like pure or mostly Indicas, what's the variety?

How strong are your lights? Again have you used these before? I'm growing (flowering) a few Indicas right now and they're really compact. Short node distance, leaves nearly on top of each other, super thick and lush......maybe even too much. It's possible that your light is so strong that the plants respond by barely stretching. Maybe it's the light, but tell us more about your set-,up.....

Some look better tham others. What's your watering like? Are the roots getting air too?

Need more info

Medium
Lights (wattage / model and current power settings) /distance
Neuts/ feed rates
Age of plants
Clones?
First run 100th run?
Fill us in!

Any info on the grow you can think of, I’m not hydro / Rockwool , I’m soil but additional info like EC and PPM, water supply source etc will help those with what they need to help!

Beautiful room hopefully it can get straightened out

Best info I could advise atm is to back the light intensity down until you get a handle on what the issue is, normally it’s always #1 when working with an issue but only my 2 cents 😁

Ive been growing for 3 years now and this is the first time this has happened.
room settings:
TEMP: 80-82
HUMIDITY: 70-80
TEMP OF WATER: 75-80
INTENSITY OF LIGHT: 55 percent (gavita LED)
WATER: everyday ( I would normally water plants three times a day with rockwool but these seem to not be eating is as much as my other plants)
nutrients: aqua flake A and B, amino treatment, fasilator, heavy roots, Nitrogen boost, cal mag, Algen extract
6 weeks into veg
PPM: 1250
2 fans on medium
CO2: 800
Lights are 3 feet away from trees

someone please help I dont know if I should throw them away or if I should keep growing them. I would notice change since im there everyday and its on a 18-6 schedule.

If your lights are three feet away and at 50%
Your plant is definitely gonna eat to the pace of the intensity. Which in my opinion isn’t much. I do dirt and still oldskool as hell with the hps lol. But if u think something’s stunting your grow I would educate myself in that direction. And yeah some indi plants r just plain short. I had a gelato cake and it was so short it didn’t make sense. And I see your set up looks like a drip set up and I have never done that, but 1250 is a lot for any individual six week short vegging plant. And again I don’t do dro so don’t quote me 😎

Good luck ✌️

This lemon cherry gelato strain grows tall which is strange cause mine is coming out short and at what height should I put it to flower?

Hiya!

Nice setup… I miss hydro, such a quick and efficient way to grow. Good news is they can turn around quickly because there’s no hassle of waiting for the plant to adjust to the medium.

What’s your Ph/EC levels at??
Do you aerate your rezzy?
You have 2 fans for the whole room?
How about air extraction, to dump the old Co2 depleted air?

The pics show me roots that are beginning to rot. Cubes beginning to mold. And plant stalks that look like they are getting soft and moldy.

I water at 5.8 PH
And I’ve never heard of the term “aerate your rezzy” can you please explain to me what that is
And I have more fans just not turned on as I thought veg plants do not like wind
I also have no air extraction but I can open the door for air flow to circulate

Yeah my old friend used dro and he veg for 1 to 1 1/2 months n dwc and his plants were taller than him after flip. My advice is to find out what is stunting your plants before u put one into flower. It just seems like such a waste to flower a stunted garden and I’d hate for anyone to go threw that bs omg. But they should def b taller ✌️

Lots of dud clones going around, weird.

Lol!
do you have a bubbler in your reservoir tank to keep your feed oxygenated?

I wouldn’t open the door if you’re adding Co2 but definitely more fans and lower humidity, especially if your reservoir is in the same room.

When I ran Co2, I had a large fan clear the room every once in a while when Co2 was not being pumped, because the room always got ‘stuffy’ feeling.

My thoughts are more oxygen or airflow, lower humidity.

No Bubbler In the reservoir tank, maybe that’s the issue?

No bubbler n the rez ,😳 that’s like having ham with no burger 😄, def an issue u must have bought the set up individually the airstone is suppose to come with the rez
Without air the roots will suffocate, and I’m not sure that’s the only issue but maybe it is.

1250ppm Is just crazy high for that stage of grow, imho.
Are you doing any dry back period on those cubes ? They hold a lot of water, plants are a little droopy and stunted maybe because they aren't allowed to dry a little before next watering.
I would doa flush with a proper lower strength nutrition 1.5 EC and let em dry back a bit before each watering.
And for that stage I would use 1.2-1.5ec no problem.
Use EC 2.0-2.5 peak flower

Just throwing my 2 cents in there. I’d get air to the reservoir. Maybe the pheno you have does not like high humidity.
If you raise humidity you are supplementing them eating from the roots. Lower it and they eat more from roots.

I see the leaves look damp or heavy. Is it possible that they are far along now that you need to start lowering that humidity and temp.

I know that CO2 loves high temps, but you can definitely run higher VPD and drop the humidity to 60 with 82 temps and be solid while promoting max uptake. 70-80 humidity is pretty high for any veg in my opinion, unless the pheno wants humidity high all grow.

They are probably drowning and not eating?

2cents - I have no clue what’s going on with the whole setup. As this setup has worked for you multiple times it looks like.

VPD is way off...

If they cannot transpire, they aren't going to grow. I would get VPD in check, and lower EC temporarily to see if they will respond.

It has to be a combination of lighting and CO2 imo. Leaves and stems look healthy. Have never done hydro but based on visuals theyre getting everything they need in veg.

Hope you get it figured out.

I agree about humidity, leaves definitely have that overwatered look.

1250 ppm now tells me you are about ready to flip to flower. And you’ll taper back the rest of the grow, after a couple weeks into flower.
