Over water is the easiest thing to do for most...and it causes a host of nutrient and transpiration problems. It's all good Organik. I appreciate the input from Brazel but that doesn't mean I accept over watering as the problem. Weed is an easy plant to grow especially outdoors. What's really changed in 35 plus years? Just about nothing except the complexity the industry wants you to buy into. I could grow the rest of my life without ever entering a grow store with over priced growing mediums and nutes and the rest of the products designed more to make someone wealthy but do little to change the nature of one rugged plant.

maybe you cant see the forest for the trees...@organikz and @brazel like many others on the wonderful site are like preachers to me and i would take anything to the bank that they advise especially since i know that they want to see you thrive not dive
I use the opposite approach. ...giving them the minimum.@brazel I can't deny that the pics show plants with the classic signs of over watering with a little nitrogen greening going on but I know their issues are not water or nutes. For whatever reason it's been a rough start. Having 48 Beans either not pop or pop in paper towels but not being able to get there heads out of dirt is a real buzz kill. I have another 300 watts of 50 watt 3590's and driver and I was ready build another aluminum frame sans dimmer. With this start I haven't given it much thought. I'll limp through this weak attempt with a blend of Pro mix, sterilized mushroom bedding and a few pounds of blood meal. I also have an overpriced bag O Dirt from the grow shop but it's a nice guy trying to make a go of it. I'll also probably cheat and use whatever nutes he has on sale for vegging and flowering. Why? Because it's easy not necessary. The girls get Epsom salt in their tea pretty regularly. @GT21 I missed your meaning. I did say ganja was an easy plant to grow "outdoors" but I will add that I can feed the hell out of a plant growing in good ole mother earth. You can grow some extremely nute tolerant outdoor plants. I've built their tolerance for real heavy rich moldering teas and they loved it. Indoors is much easier in the sense you can achieve repeatable results. I love the perfect outdoor plant but they can be really tough to grow although the diazinon, miathalon and clordane make it easier. Time for one last burner. Take my meds with a glass of prune juice, put on my orthopaedic socks and go to bed. Tomorrow will be another long day at the senior center.
No worries bro, I only speak my mind cause I'd like to think you'd appreciate that.@brazel I can't deny that the pics show plants with the classic signs of over watering with a little nitrogen greening going on but I know their issues are not water or nutes. Looking good bro!I use the opposite approach. ...giving them the minimum.
Thanks.... its all still organic till they hit the flower tent.Looking good bro!
Just trying to explain less is more bud. More stuff you put in doesnt mean faster or better growth. Best wishes with the rough onesView attachment 771637 View attachment 771638 View attachment 771639 View attachment 771640 View attachment 771641 OK. Uncle. I give up. If it has to be human error I'm the guy to blame. My point with nutes was simply that outdoors the plant can take pretty much anything you feed it within reason. @GT21 I Dont see a lot of weed varieties bred to successfully be drought, pest and starvation tolerent. Please point me to few Botrytis, drought and starvation tolerant varieties. I'd love to put them outside next spring. I apologize if I come across as contrary but I know how to water properly and it's importance in O2 take up by the roots. 12 out of 60 beans does not make me a bad grower it simply means I had a bad grow. At least coming out of the gate.@ Brazel I think your thought that over watering was the problem was well meant. @GT21 Haha this. I don't care if you use Epson salt or not and I don't care if you don't use seaweed tea. Because YOU don't use them doesn't make it the gospel. Like I said initially 60 Beans 12 plants rough start and that this would either be a grow journal OR how not to do things. I guess I'd better bail on this thread. The tone has been set and my soft under belly exposed. It's important to keep your advise constructive. Ridicule is a poor teaching tool.
Everyone is up and happy except one Scots x legend it came up and then the next day Grew back down in the dirt .never seen this before it came back up with a little help its just behind.
Also I have one showing a marble leaf pattern hopefully it snaps outView attachment 640558 View attachment 640559
Man im 100 for 100 just in dirt straight outta the bag no mats no nothing just like "nature" i aint never seen nature pour coconut water on seeds or add any of that other stuff...i thought yall notill guys were one with nature lol100% germination rate...
I soak the seeds in one cup for a few hours and soak the root cubes in the other. Then i gently squeeze the cubes until moist, not wet.
- Root riot cubes
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 5 ml fulvic acid
- 1/4 cup aloe Vera juice (pharmacy)
- 2 cups cold water...yah from the fridge...its called cold stratification
Use these smaller domes. They're on amazon...search 12 cell dome. I don't use a heat mat. Seeds germinate early spring when it's still cold. Most important is to not mess with the cubes. You start rooting around and you may find a torn tap root.
Coconut water is for a glass of rum with iceMan im 100 for 100 just in dirt straight outta the bag no mats no nothing just like "nature" i aint never seen nature pour coconut water on seeds or add any of that other stuff...i thought yall notill guys were one with nature lol
