SICK ROMULAN #3

This plant was the healthiest looking seedling.
Now, apparently due to in-calibrated PH meter, he suffered the most from high PH watering. Hope it'll recover.

The symptoms are showing on the larger fan leaves.
Other leaves are green and dandy.

Can you help me confirm its a PH imbalanced water?
is it anything else?

Some nice textures there :bongsmi:

And regardless - Romulans seeds are hard to get by nowadays.
kinda funny, but I hope for at least 1 male for seeds..

Thanks bros.
I really do hope the plant will recover from that.
I have since, double and triple checked the PH levels of the water after calibrating the meter.

--------

Last but not least, the Super-Cali Haze.

It shows signs of dehydration I believe.
I highly suspect it to be the case, since my humidity levels in the room are below 15% (meter wont even read them). If this is indeed the issue.. it will be solved later tonight or tomorrow. My wife and I will go do some shopping for the home, and a humidifier will be included in the list.

The bending looks good, the plant is gradually recovering from it.
The flowering leaves are in paler green, healthy and rockin'.
In the pictures included - you can see the issue.

More - as the story develops..

Hope you get your humidity on point... Looks like sisko has moisture heat stress from the low RH and high VPD... the high pH may have also locked out Magnesium causing the interveinal chlorisis... Possibly some salt buildup as well from the high pH and potential lockout... :thinking

P.S. There's also a possibility that the plant is root bound and not able to uptake nutes efficiently with all of the other factors I mentioned above...

Gandalf, I'll look forward to your thread on creating great macros. Yours are fab! Mostly, I'm relieved that I'm not the only one who occasionally names their plants... ;)

Grow on.

Gandalf said:
Ok, so let go to the start pictures.

I named each plant with a Captain name from the series.
(originally I had 5 seeds, but "Romulan #5 aka "Archer" did not sprout).

This was done roughly a month ago.
In the next set of pictures - the captains pop off the ground and into the stars..

Gandalf,

I am having some very similar issues with the small brown spots at the leaf edges. I THINK (In Caps cuz think it a BIG word for me) it is a MG deficiency probably caused by your incorrect PH. I will keep you informed if I find a solution, please do the same.

Good Luck brah,
its back to morador for me

The rrock, the EMH never got an official name from the Captain.
Several friends of "it" suggested names for him, including Kes, Belana, and 7.
He also, had few ideas for names, but eventually he was left with non.

(and personally - I think Rober Picardo plays really well.)

--------

Hey 2Dog, bro, much appreciated!
No change in their appearance, since I verified the meter to be calibrated, and watered them with 6.50 ON THE DOT.

Sisko's drained water had a PH of 5.4 ...
slowly but surely, they will recover. I hope.

More to come soon.

Gandalf,

After some research I decided to test out a foliar feed w/ cal mag (I didn't have any epsom salts or I would have used that instead to foliar feed) **recipe called for 1/2 teaspoon of epsom salts/gallon of foliar feed** (make sure you dissolve salts in hot water first though)) on my experimental plant, I will let you know if the green starts to appear between the veins again.
