Wasn't it Bud Spleefman that started the thread about lack of vertical integration killing basement growers?

So if an acre of corn produces 160 bushels - at 56 pounds a bushel - what would 700 acres of cannabis yield? Horribly imprecise I know but I couldn't quite think of any other way to get my head around it.

Amusing that it is causing a local fuss though. I like guy in the article "This is a settled issue" ...

yeah cause all those nugs are gonna be trash down there. 100+ degrees in the day 50 at night...

sounds like someone is gonna need to hit up the mexican cartel and hype this shit up to sell it.

colorado is gettin stingy on the quality. so many big dispos that used to be "good" going under so quick cause they switched to outdoor thinking they'd save. lololol painters plastic roof on river rock.... give me a break.

"lack of vertical integration will show the good weed regardless of a basement, and will be paid for accordingly" is what it should say.

And that's only one of many 1000+ acre setups goin in down there....crazy scale I tell ya

It will finally make mass oil extraction and dab production affordable....bathtubs full o whip!!!
very very good and interesting point.

dab market will be just as easy as the flower market. like good vodka vs good beer. still comparable prices for good shit to do the trick.

Richard Branson just bought 1000 OG hood systems heading for Colorado recently..

1000 hoods isnt that much, kinda bottom of the race at this point. this weekend alone i saw about 2000 in operation, just between three spots.

and they arent even like "name brand" dispensaries. haha.

i can see tk makin oil now
2stirring iron pot

Blastin cylinders with 1000's of lbs sittin there in the wait would be all kinds of fun...100lb batches of shatter probably looks pretty cool...lol...for medicinal extraction outdoor is better anyways, much more fully developed cannabinoid profile across the board and the light is cheaper...I would also contend that after one full season or less in those big ass setups you'll be shocked at the quality comin out of some of them, especially when I see some 24% and 26% stuff comin out of the Emerald Cup this year..rivals or surpasses any indoor mass produced nugs out there..and no ones in it to mass produce shitty weed imo, quality is still the primary goal, at least for the growers involved...plus its a learning experience/curve, there are probaly 50 guys in the US that have even seen marijuana grow ops that big and only a handfull that have actually ran them..so its a brave new world goin forward in SoCo

Shanti style....thats what I'm talkin bout!!!

I figured the only reason the cartels haven't repurposed the caffiene extractors from the coffee ops is because they still have a market for swag, somewhere...somehow...

Do work CO!

P.S. "25 miles east of Pueblo"...Yikes. They're going to have some fun with those late summers down there. 90 in September vesrsus 70s in the mountains. People will learn and adapt (strains mostly IMO).

Richard branson the virgin guy? I am pretty sure british citizens can't own colorado grow ops. And he owns airlines what would chronic interest him for?

I know of more than one tamisium-style extractors made from beer kegs and a stainless steel tube. They run about 6lbs of trim at a time. Nice to recapture that expensive n-butane..

With enough moolah, you can transcend nationality. All these big global billionaires hold citizenships in many countries. You think our Dept. of Immigration is turning down billionaires?

Its a resident of Colorado, not a citizen of the US..he could have got a po box here or just received mail at the Virgin office at DIA many years ago..no worries on that

Branson's already come out in favor of the weed, IIRC. Let me do a search.

I miss Steve Fosset. Don't you guys miss Steve Fosset? I still wish he had just staged his own death, instead of actually being slammed into a Sierra mountain-side. <sigh> Poor Steve Fosset. And poor Richard Branson! He has no other real adventurers to compete against anymore, either.

Sorry for the musing... I'll look and see what news stories I can find on Branson.

Oh yeah, don't hate on the Branson.

^^(Regarding this story; I remember the first time I smoked with my Touretter son, he was ticcing very badly, so much so that he was hurting himself. The tics all just went away. He also turned into a bit of a giggling goober, but he doesn't have my tolerance, not by a long shot. It was just incredible to watch, after.. well, after being his mom all his life and seeing how the disorder affected him.)
