i hear the 72v ones are strongest can run at 75w what drivers work to run a few 72v ones do you just take 2 36v drivers for it to be 72v seems like you need a certain cob for the 72v cobs

if you are talking about cree 72v cobs you have a few options.you can run them off the meanwell 185-c700ma and get 50w per chip and that driver will run 4.1 cxb cobs. or you could use the mw 185-1050ma and just run 2.6(2 cobs) chips per driver for 75w per cob.theres are other combos also but i think those are the 2 most common uses for the 72v crees.

You'll need the HLG-240H-C1050 A or B version and you can run 3 72v cobs with no problems CXA or CXB you didn't mention but both will work.

on a watt-for watt basis they are not any brighter or more efficent than a 36V cree.

where they are useful is if you want to run chips hard with a constant current driver. not so much a factor anymore now that 2800 and 3500 mA meanwells exist in the 320 series
