I was given a couple of cutting last week and one of them is starting to show roots. Or a root. Through the side of the rockwool.
My questions are
1. In that week many of the leaves have turned yellow and the.stock is turning purple. Are they recoverable?

2. Is it too soon to plant it? As you can see in the picture the root is just showing.

A couple of clone questions

Do you have it under a light? I've never used rockwool for my clones and i've made many but i know folk do so let's get growing this out and stick it into a cup of good soil and keep it moist but not heavy wet like that rockwool. And i use small CFL curly bulb with a reflector hood. All you need is about 50watts about 10" from it. But don't let it dry out. I use humidity domes till they root then remove them. How are you set up to grow it? Below is how i grow my clones till they root.

No, but it's nothing to worry about. Yellowed leaves typically don't recover. They turn brown and fall off. The plant was cannibalizing nutrients while it was growing roots.

A little, perhaps, but could be planted soon. People do it different ways.

Mine are not the greatest professional looking but they grow roots and full photoperiod big plants. And mine do get some yellow die off leaf but you'll see in time top gets green

It's important to be careful with the roots when putting the plant in soil. Make sure the soil is moist. Some mycorrhizae are added to the hole before putting the plant in it, that is, if you're doing that type of growing.

Nice. Yes I have them under my hlg and they're under a dome. They're in a grow tent as well. The rockwool hasn't dried much under there but I check the moisture level. I was just kinda concerned they were dying
