Hey everyone! Have a small grow setup, switched back to dwc after a disappointing hpa attempt. I am running plants on SeAgri- Sea90 liquid nutrients, spray every other day with a B1 green kelp/seaweed extract, and at one point had 1000w of his with another 500w of induction lighting. Lights were on a mover, now only the 1000w HID is on the mover.
Split the tents into two now, so I can test the efficacy of induction vs HID and one step further: blue/red vs white induction.
HID tent:
DWC
STRAINS: Chernobyl and Dutch Treat (harlequin is one in soil)
Nutes: sea90 @ 880-1000ppm
Lights: 1000w MH
PH: 5.7-6.3 (out of pH down so it has risen from the preferred 5.5-6.0 range)
Water temp: 61°
Tent temp: 70° lights off, 86-90° lights on
Change reservoir weekly with straight h2o 12hr flush.

Tips?
Also: had mites, treated with tobasco/soap water mix, leaves have been as such since. Even after a plain water rinse.

Second set of photos would be the induction lighting tent.

Strain: both Chernobyl to control for variables ( some Roma tomato plants as well.. Gotta use the space!)
Water temp: 60°
Tent temp: 76°
Nutes: Sea90 @ 770ppm
PH: 5.7-6.4 ( too high, I know!)
One light is white the other is red/blue mix

Will most likely make this a thread based on the induction lighting with some peekaboos into the HID for comparison to common lighting. More posts to come!!

OK. A week has passed.. I had a mite problem and my soap/ pepper mint mix must have been a hit harsh.. Had to prune down the ladies quite a bit. So now they are cleaned up and making a bounce back. PH is 5.5-5.7 on all buckets .. PPM is. 850-970 each in 1000k HID tent. 775 for white light induction and 790 for red/blue induction. Temp HID tent is 71° off time and 86-90° on time, CO2 is 490-530 ppm , humidity is 45% off and 36-41% on time. Temp induction is 81° on, with 24 hrs cycle ( next week, hoping it will boost root growth one into dark period). PH is 5.8 white induction 5.4 red and blue

Seems kinda crazy to have your ballast in the middle of all those buckets for more than one obvious reason!?! anywho hope things get better for you would really like to see what induction lighting can really do in the hands of the average joe grower so please keep us posted im watching

Very true on the ballast point. I had it plugged into my light mover. Moved now and will no longer be a spill hazard nor a source of excess heat to the reservoirs. Sorry about the pics not being uploaded, to come tonight!

Added mycogrow bennies to the mix. Any tips on hydro and mycorrhizae/beneficial bacteria?

I was referring to the plant in the bubble bucket, it seems as if something is stressing them, also have you had a chance to look at the roots???

Yeah they are brownish, but I believe that is due to the Myco I had in ( produced a brown brackish looking water) the other plants are doing fine just trouble with three so far

If they are in the same system I would remove them so not to risk an outbreak to the other plants. When you added the myco it could have been a bit to much for the plants! When I administer enzymes I always progressively add them little by little until I see results, also if you've had any root issues it may take some time to kill anything bad going on in the root zone! If your trying to save them then remove them from the system and you an agent designed for root rot! H2O2 is just a preventative and generally doesn't kill all bacteria unless the infection is minimal. When used at higher dosages it will be detrimental to your plants roots and will harm them and stress the plants. If you have established roots you can remove them and disinfect the pots by flushing with the solution then allow the roots to soak for an hr or so with a light dose of CalMag and whatever you treat your ladies with!!!
