In the front, getting her fade on, is 710 genetics' Lemon Pineapple. It was a freebie, but I'm definitely considering revegging and breeding her so far.

This fuckin' G13 Haze is an absolute killer. The top buds are still throwing out white pistils and getting fatter, but the high from the bottom buds I've sampled is *kisses fingers.* The aroma is amazing, too. Like straight Centennial/Mosaic/Cascade hops. This one is absolutely getting a reveg.

View attachment 928674

Yeah yeah, she's got a few cat hairs that have somehow blown onto her that I didn't notice until after the picture was taken.

G13 Labs' Sweet Amnesia (NL5xHaze) getting chonky.

View attachment 928673

Speaking of sampling the bottom buds of G13 Haze, this is what they looked like before getting vaporized. Yes, my bubbler has been fixed multiple times.

View attachment 928672

That Purple Afghan Kush that hermed seems to have pollinated the Double Black and made some seeds. I'll likely run them in a bit.

I think just foliar spraying with a 6.2-6.4 ph mix of anything helps prevent mold. They cant germinate on it. I hit my pumkins with calmag last year once a week and never got any pm. They always always always get pm.

Aka you can feed and prevent molds.

Can't wait to see how the new seeds go. The garden looks great.

Thanks man! That totally makes sense. I'm hoping that eventually I can just use combinations of essential oils and maybe even terpenes to use as a foliar spray. So many of them have antibacterial/antifungal properties that I'm sure there's a solution there.

I mean, a solute would be distributed throughout a solvent either way, so there's definitely at least the technical definition of a solution there.

Here's that Critical Super Silver Haze, still fattening up! The picture doesn't really show the scale but she's in a 5 gallon bucket for reference.

Here's everything in veg. Once I got watering dialed in on the Nepalmas and Uzi (go light!), they started taking off. The biggest plant, in the center at the top, is Kalashnikov's Katyusha. She's fucking ferocious.

That's the same plant from a different angle. If it keeps growing this aggressively, I may end up having to top her.

And here are @Dirtbag 's gifts from the other week! Platinum GSC on the left and Violator Kush on the right. Both are just getting settled right in, hope you enjoy the Lavanda Cream!

I don't know how a pH that low is going to prevent mold? It's just putting more moisture on the plant, which is possibly what started the PM issue in the first place?

The whole point of spraying with baking soda is to raise the ph very high which makes the mold unable to multiply. I recommend never spraying anything on a healthy plant

Nice to see those plants are doing well, I think you'll really like them both. I know I do lol.

Btw, there are some brutally virulent strains of PM that affect cannabis around these parts. It can be really tough to eradicate. I'm glad to see the sprays are working for you, but if it ever gets unmanageable and you want to save genetics shoot me a PM.

There are!

I thought that it was tougher to deal with than when I had it on outdoor nightshades and cucurbits on the east coast.

I just hadn't put that together yet. I suppose that ambient humidity at 100% for months straight means there are some intense strains kicking around. I've seen bits and pieces of pm since then on one plant, but nothing near what demolished the Siberian Haze and spread in a few days. That was some kill it with fire type shit.

Yah it cant grow due to the high ph. Also works going the other way. He can kill two birds with one stone. By foliar feeding food.

How else are would you go about preventing it from spreading again?

Don't have to soak the leaves. Light mist. It will dry up fast.

While I agree. I dont like to foliar healthy plants. But how else can you take actions to stop it from spreading again? Mold spores are always in the air.

Not trying to prove you wrong. Just asking <3

Again I respectfully disagree; if you're saying to continue spraying the plants, it doesn't work "the other way" as you say, that I'm aware of;

also "just foliar spraying with a 6.2-6.4 ph mix of anything helps prevent mold" is also incorrect, and will have the opposite effect

And I will reiterate for op because I feel it's the most important factor: Never spray anyting on a healthy plant

If you're asking what I would do I recommend burning sulfur, however if I was going to spray for wpm I would use copper

Nailed it man. It's that whole fall/winter of near 100% Relative ambient humidity.
Buddy of mine just a few weeks ago went into his building, and overnight his bubba kush looked like it snowed on it. Over night. Over a hundred plants under 50 lights. Funny thing was he had another strain I dont recall across the row in the same room and not a spec of PM on it. It only hit the bubba, but pretty much wiped out all of it overnight. Must have gone undetected deep in the room somewhere but when it blew up, it was devastating. Hes back to burning sulphur in his whole operation every 5 days.

Things are popping in the veg section! Katyusha is the farthest to the left, she'll likely get up-potted and then get the pre-flower trim and top. The two 5g buckets next to her are G13 Haze and Critical SSH, revegging after the first harvest. The tall one in the background is a different pheno of Nepalma that I'm gonna have to treat differently than the rest since she's so stretchy. There are also chervil, garlic, basil, yarrow, shiso, and pepper plants on the perimeter.

Here's the flower room at the moment. Fighting PM here and there still on the denser plants, and what looks like a calcium deficiency(?) on the AK Kush in front and center. I watered it with a tsp of wood ash mixed in yesterday, we'll see how it responds.

Flipped the first Uzbekistan, Nepalma, and Green Manalishi F2, hoping for a male of each to snag pollen from.

This weird bright thing was in the sky today, so I decided to give them a treat. Turns out that one of the ones that I thought didn't pop was just late to the party!

Another fun development this week was that I have two males! One Green Manalishi F2 and one Uzbekistan! I don't have the space to flip all of the Nepalma/Uzbekistan/Green Manalishi F2 at the same time, so I'll flip and differentiate them as space allows. Then the males get separated, the pollen will be collected, and then I'll be pollinating select female branches of the nicest ladies of those (and Triple Pakistan). TBH it'll be a lot easier keeping track of the info that way while still being able to pay attention to the other plants.

Here's the breeding plan, for anyone interested.

The Uzi and Triple Pak both lean indica, the GMF2 and Nepalma both lean sativa. I'll start off with breeding both of the I's with each sativa.

Plants will be given a designation of (strain)(gender)(order grown). So the first Uzi male is Uzi A1, the first Uzi female is B1, the second plants to differentiate will be A2 for male and B2 for female, etc.

Then each male Uzi will pollinate a branch of the choicest female(s) of the GM and Nepalma, and the pollinated branches get labeled as Uzi A1, A2, A3, etc. The following seeds are labeled (Uzi A3 x Nepalma B2), etc.

Then all of the crosses from the two strains will be grown out and pheno hunted at the same time, but kept separate to determine the genetic influence of each plant. I'll be mixing the pollen with cornstarch and freezing it, so the best males can breed again after death!

Nice. There was a really good article on pollen saving I found awhile ago. He used desiccant in a sealed food container. (Plastic ones with lids)

With glass jars holding pollen with the lids off inside the desiccant chamber. So it doesn't touch the pollen, but you can get it nice and dry that way.

Dropped a couple new beans today, Sensi's Silver Haze #9 and Reserva Privada's Purple Wreck. Dropped into coco that was rehydrated with willow water, into the germinator they went!

The Triple Pakistans are still doing well. The last one to pop is now the biggest!

The PM fight is for real. If I miss a day spraying with the baking soda/epsom salt/water spray, it starts coming right back. Hasn't gotten to the buds, but I've had to pull a few sugar leaves here and there. Selective brushing and spraying of neem on the leaves of the flowering ladies has made a significant difference.

Every plant in veg right now, and every other kind of plant I have inside, got sprayed with a good amount of neem/Dr Bronner's peppermint soap/125 degree water. The hot water keeps the neem melted and in solution so that it can be sprayed as a fine mist, and the soap emulsifies the mixture until the neem gets cold enough to solidify and come out of solution. By the time it gets to the plants, it's just barely warmer than leaf temp.

From now on, when I'm flipping a plant, it gets neemed to the point where the tops of all leaves, the stem, and the top of the soil are covered with a thin layer.

I used the milk solution at 9:1 water:milk, but wasn't a fan of the residue it leaves on the leaves. When looking for PM, another layer of whitish stuff isn't helpful.

Got two Uzbekistan males, and one GM male in "quarantine," aka my bathroom, until they start dropping pollen to collect. The GM male is already starting to reek of funk and cat pee three weeks into flowering, so I've got some high hopes, pun (as always) intended.

I've been in a drought lately, but today I chopped the lower branches of the Cheeselicious plant, white pisils and all, and vaped them. Not gonna lie, it's a nice high at the moment. Lots of physical relaxation, still with mental clarity, and a touch of that uplifting euphoria. If the smoke is this nice now, I'm excited to see what happens as it actually matures over the next couple weeks. Europa is an obscure-ass seed company, but I've liked both the Heavy Grapefruit and Cheeselicious.

Yeah, for PM in Canada, the west coast specifically where Kanzeon is at the only things that keep PM away is sulphur or myclobutanil. I've heard good things about reglia for preventative but we cant get it here. Everyone I know uses sulphur burners in Veg to keep their rooms clean. Once PM is in there it's pretty much impossible to get rid of without going nuclear or running sulphur non stop. Myclo is only ever used to treat mother plants.

I always have the dehumidifier set to under 50 if it's under 70 degrees, and then 50 if it's over 70 degrees (VPD reasons). I'm just guessing that the airflow might not be even enough for the humidity to be consistent, so there's pockets with higher humidity where it sets in. Right now I'd estimate it's visible on 5% of the leaves max, down from about 10% when it was at its worst. I'm hesitant to burn sulfur because of the smell, but if I can't get it more under control that might have to be the way things go.

Today I'm gonna clear out the room, clean the absolute shit out of it again, clean all of the containers, and bleach the walls and floor.

I'll see if I can get my hands on some Regalia, too. Thanks for the tips!

Try wettable powdered sulphur sprayed on the vegging plants. It actually works better than vaporized sulphur for dealing with visible mildew i find.. and stays on the plant a bit longer. And no smell. Just cant spray it on flowering plants.
