Hi all,
I am a hydroponic farmer in Louisiana. I grow clean, pesticide free produce in my Greenhouse. Mostly lettuce and herbs. I have a son in Colorado that is a cannabis grower. I have been following the legislation in the State where medicinal cannabis is getting started. Hemp growing is also getting started. I am looking at the industry and trying to decide if I want to get involved. I thought I would join in and see what the discussions about cannabis growing look like.

Welcome! I moved to Colorado from Louisiana a couple of years ago. If you sell at the Lafayette Farmer's Market, I probably bought produce from you. I have friends back home that are very interested in MMJ, but it seems like it's going to be very expensive and fairly restrictive.

Yes I am at the Farmers Market, sell a lot there! I agree that’s it’s going to be expensive and restrictive. Even the hemp looks like it’s going to be difficult for a small farmer to participate in. But keeping my options open!
I do enjoy the hydroponic growing.. I’m expanding my growing space as I write this!

Welcome! My duty station for 4 years was in Fort Polk. I would imagine you could pull off some killer outdoor grows down there!
