A question about spider mites

I have no idea what these things are, but they do sound like some nasty buggers.

How can your indoor grow get infected by them? I've read somebody's post who stated that he had them in his grow tent. How?

I'm puzzled and afraid of those things getting in my tent, because of what I've read on this forum. Is there anything I can do to make sure they stay away?

I got them from some violets I bought from a store. They must've hitched a ride into my grow room on my clothes. The violets definitely had them but were never inside the house.

They come in all sorts of ways. Mostly hitch hiking. Problem is there eggs are really durable and hard to kill.
