HI,

I have a limited space, that I could propably fit 60 x 60 x height x tent or a 70 X 70 X height x tent.

I was thinking about ready to grow-setups and started to think that could I run them with a bit more powerful light than recommended. I would like to get a yield of over 100g dry.

For example spider farmer has this https://spiderfarmer.eu/products/sf1000-led70x70x160cm-grow-tent/

Could I run this on 150w (200?)

I was thinking about running it with 4 autos, so I could easily get a good canopy without training.

What do you think, in terms of heat, mostly?

Br,

The SF 1000 is only a 100 watt output light. So you couldnt get 150 or 200 watts of light out of it. I have a tent same 60cm by 60cm footprint as yours and 200 watt turndown setting on my UFO 500 watt light gives me around 35000 lux light output which is plenty for that small tent. I live in a place widely known for its clear bright sunshine even in winter and my lux meter shows around 35000 lux on a clear bright blue sunny day with fluffy "Simpsons" clouds.

Yes, I know I cannot get that much light out of it. My question involves; can I use a bigger light in a tent that small?

And also, I am intersted, how much yield do you pull? :)

Thank you so much for your answer :)

I use a 250watt light in my 3x3x6 and it has a dial to turn it down as needed. I can run 4 auto flowers in 3gal fabric pots. If all goes well with the grow i get 3oz per plant. But i prefer photoperiods and it's only about a month longer for the grows.

Im using a phlizon pl2000 200w led in a tent that size with a single plant and am having great results.

Have 4x2 and with a 300 watt led light can run it dimmed and still get five ounces out of a 5 gallon pot even on 12/12 schedule for photo periods.

Sorry, I can't give you yield number from this new tent & light set up coz I've never grown in this one. It's new and all I've been doing so far is setting it up and doing lights tests etc. But I do have an old set up that I also use. It has a 350 watt output custom made board supplying quality light to 3 plants in coir/soil/perlite/compost pots. It was a tight squeeze coz it's slightly smaller. than our size tents. I cant recall the yield numbers from the last time I used that old set up. It was three years ago, but it was a good number. I've been out of the game for a while due to illness.

I live in CO, it's a desert, minor humidity. So I have an intake large filtered fan low, output smaller fun up top. Have open vent on opposite side of lower fan. Cold air humidifier for control of humidity and a bonus cooling. Hope it helps. Good luck!

What is 4 x 2 in cm?

Srry if I`m pain in the ass, but in my country, the. tents are measured in sentimeters (cm).

122 x 61 in cm.
I will only have 60 x 60cm floor space, and height will be 180.

I am intersted, every kind of calculator tells me that a sufficient light for that 60 x 60 space is 100W led.

Why do some grow shops offer bigger lights for setups of this size? For example, one growshop offers a tent package which is 60 x 60cm in floor size, height 180cm. They offer a 240w quantum board led for this. Isn`t that an overkill? I want the best crop i can get.

I have 300 watts but even right now with type 2 cultivars https://hokuseedco.com/ I am not even at 60% in flower. Less intensity less heat. I am at 650 ppfd top of plants and just turned side lighting on. Will be waiting another week to see growth before turning up.

Yeah, I just measured my spaces available. Best I can do in tent size is 80cm x 80cm x 180cm. Propably gonna go with green qube tent.

What light would you recoomend for this space? Tips on silent and bullet (smell) proof filterts are also welocme, if you have the time. Thank you so much,

Most all new LEDs run silent my 240watt Qboard does. The size your looking at is about the same as mine now. These new LEDs have dials to dim down the output, be sure and check for that feature is sure makes a difference. I don't run filters because i don't care who smells my house LOL all my family an friends know i grow and it's legal in my state.
