When I was a teenager, I woke up one morning and I couldn't see out of one eye. All I could see was black. The other eye was okay. As the eye slowly focused, I could see movement. Then I realized it was a spider hanging from the ceiling. It was less than a half inch above the pupil of my eye. I slowly pushed my head down into my pillow and moved to the side. Later, I told my best friend about it, and he said it was probably crawling across my face moments before I saw it. That wasn't helpful.
