Accommodations for The Detroit International Cannabis Convention

We've been banging this around on a few boards, so I figured I would get one going specifically for lodging.
First off, I would like to have this be 100% legal, so I request only card (or paper) holders attend. Michigan is a reciprical state, so out of state patients are welcome too. If you don't have your card, there is still time to get your paperwork in.
Ok, enough of the crap. We got choices, please post your preferences.
1. A big ass suite we can all chip in on.
2. A block of rooms at a decent hotel.

dam sounds like a good plan. i'd be down, but my wallet isn't. i will be at the festfor sure tho. if you guys get a big ol suit. try and get one with an oven in it. then have all the farmers throw in two grams or so, and make a crazy mix strain canna-butter for some halloween treats. i'd stop by for that.

We can nab a couple rooms for around $100 per room. The closest is prob Auburn Hills, and we can fit up to 4 guys per room. I will look again, but it appears Pontiac has NO hotels. Shocker, a nice city like that :(
I only live 45 min away, just think it would be sweet to tear it up one night. Let me know if any one is interested.
P.S. anybody know what up with VIP tix???

Im down for whatever, i only live 45 mins from Yak Town (Pontiac). Closest hotels will be in Auburn Hills, Rochester, Waterford, and Southfield.

Moved to Cobo?!!!!?

I just heard from one of the vendors yesterday that it is being moved from the Silverdome to Cobo Hall. Apparently the Oakland Sheriff was fukkin' with them too much.
Seems late in the game to change venues, but in the current political climate I would be much happier in Wayne County.
Opens up a whole bunch of options. Suite at a casino, rent a loft for the weekend, etc.

If it moves to Detroit then I'd consider attending. I prefer to stay away from Oakland county at all costs. The sherriff and prosecutor there have made it abundantly clear that medical mj is not something they are willing to tolerate and they have more money to prosecute me than I have to defend myself.

just read this in the free press


PONTIAC, Mich. — Organizers have canceled a pot party planned at the former home of the Detroit Lions and plan to pass it along to Detroit.

Pontiac Silverdome Building General Manager Grant Reeves tells The Oakland Press Tuesday that promoters told him the International Holistic Health Cannabis Convention Halloween Harmony & Harvest Festival had been moved.

Reeves declined to say why the Oct. 29-31 event was canceled.

Promoter and Medical Marijuana Inc. CEO Bruce Perlowin said the trade show featuring natural and healthy products, and green technologies, would be held next July and October at Cobo Center.

Pontiac officials had expressed security concerns.

The 80,300-seat Silverdome was home of the Detroit Lions until 2002 and was sold last year for $583,000 to Triple Properties Inc. of Toronto.

Good hopefully they spread the word better for it then if they want it in July because no one knew about this. They at least need radio ads.

Yak Town is not far from my home it is very nearly, around 44 minutes only. There are so many closest hotels like Auburn Hills and Rochester. Others also near from my home that hotels are good but not best like Waterford, and Southfield.
