Epsom salt is ph neutral, it shouldn't affect your ph.Ok. I wont have to ph after the mag sulfate?
So most nutrients have more than adequate calcium and so does most tap water. The issue is under LED plants will use up more Ca, Mg, potassium. this is generally more die to spectrum not the light source. Now cal mag is usually in a ratio close to 5 to 1 CA to Mg. Tap water is usually like 10 to 1 and most ferts high is cal but lacking in Mg. Ideally we want 2-3 to 1 Ca to Mg. So we add epsom salt which is Mg Sulfate no calcium to bring the ratios to a more favorable pointIf using cal + mag why also use Epsom? I thought Epsom was an alternative to cal mag supplement.
I've obviously never used Epsom salt or silica have never thought I needed to but now I'm wondering if my great bud could be better?
Nor have i. I've only used epsom as a spray .If using cal + mag why also use Epsom? I thought Epsom was an alternative to cal mag supplement.

Always an option i just prefer to feed through the roots unless addressing a deficiency where I need faster uptake. I seen many ppl mess up thier plants Soni dont usually recommend spraying but if done right can be great.Nor have i. I've only used epsom as a spray .
I always seem to be playing catch-up thinking i to should be adding it before handAlways an option i just prefer to feed through the roots unless addressing a deficiency where I need faster uptake. Mg is one of those things I think is very common issue these days. Not all ferts have this issue but plenty seem to.I always seem to be playing catch-up thinking i to should be adding it before hand
Depends on what your adding. Ratios are most important then the ppm is adjust based on response to nitrogen. Typically how its done.Ok I think I am starting to understand. But wouldn't the other supplements like the silica cal-mag hydroguard and the epsom make the ppm to high, if I stick with the directions. I looked in to what the ppm should be and get all kinds of different result but found something that says i should go for about 100ppm form start and increase by 100ppm every week until finish. Another thing is that my ppm meter has 2 scales a 500ppm and a 700ppm also has ec setting.
I think you're using gh trio? If that's correct then they use the 500 scale. Ppm is converted from ec electric current. It's just 2 ways to read the same information.Ok I think I am starting to understand. Hydro guard shouldn’t adjust PH or PPM/EC or at least last I knew.Ok I think I am starting to understand. Hey I know that chart it’s off I heart growing marry lol, that chart take notice is allready reduce amounts from the actually feed chart. I know only because week4 GH says 7.5ml on each that chart does 5mlView attachment 1068283
This is the what I am thinking about running. And to adjust the ppm would i just add a little bit more of each?
I follow the gh schedule. But I usually go light, well always go light, I only mix for 8 gallons of water even though I'm using 10 so 80% strength.View attachment 1068283

Now I will say that with autos this schedule is more of a rough guideline. Kinda have to go by looks of the plant and adjust the nutrient amounts accordingly. I started flowering at 33 days I think and skipped ahead to that stage of feeding. This is just what I have done. I'm not sure if it was the right approach but it made sense to me.View attachment 1068283

That chart should be fine.View attachment 1068283
