Running a recirculating system. Can some one please in great detail tell me how to add nutrients to my return bucket to adjust ppm? Also how do I know how much of each nutrient and what nutes to add ?

Ok refresh my memory here. What is the volume and what nutrients are you using?

I have 30 gallon system. If ppm drop how do I bring back up? Do I remove a gallon from system and mix a gallon worth of nutes to the nutes gallon and pour back in system. I uses cal mag throughout whole life span my room is at zero so it is needed right?

Say for instance, I start off with a ppm of 400 split between gh grow, micro, bloom and calmag. Two days go by I check my ppm and it's down to 220. Now in order to hit my target ppm and bring back up how do I know how much of each to mix in? How do I add back to system correctly? Do I just add ratio of grow for that ok particular phase In the plants life and so on with micro and bloom? So much I'm so frustrated . Here is the girls now.

You can get ph up and ph down in case you mess up. Just throw the nutrients into
the reservoir. Make sure you mix well. If you got a mixing pump let it mix. To get a correct reading of ppm and ec let solution mix well and when your ec pen and ph pen settle down and stay at a fixed number it’s should be good. Beware of ph pens and ec pens. You need to keep them clean. And check them against calibration solution atleast every other week. If you don’t you may not be getting the correct reading. The cheap meters tend to need more frequent calibration. Ph pen usually is the first to need calibration.

Personally I have not used those specific nutes before. So read the instructions or watch the video. But if you going to recirculate. You probably want to top the reservoir back up with water. Don’t let it get too low like 10 -15 gallons. Basically if you start with 400 ppm and it comes back at 250 ppm and 20 gallons come back. Then fill it back up to 30 gallons and you will probably need 1/3 of the nutes to get it back to 400 ppm if that’s your target. Start with small amounts and you’ll figure it out over time how much you need to add to get to your target ppm. Normally I just adjust with the base nutrients in this case grow micro bloom and cal mag. The additives you normally add after you make a new mix. How many plants are you running and what medium are you using to grow? Need more info to give you a better idea. I’m assuming g you running GH?

I'm running gh in a 4 site system. Water temp regulated to 68 degrees and pH regulated by doser to 5.7

I also prepare the next stage of nutrients in the res so stage one but in system stage two veg in res. After I've added back the full 30 equivalent in plain wayer then should I change the whole res and system?

Last night I removed a gallon for system then added a gallon with 3 gallons worth nutes just in one gallon using the gallon of water as a buffer to add nutes safley. Is this okay to adjust the ppm in the system it self kinda filling the Transition gap between the res slowly bleeding into systrm kinda bringing the two ppm slowly together. For example if res is 1100 ppm and system started off at 700 I would gradually bring ppm up bringing closer to res ppm allowing the two to mix well without a giant leap in ppm.

If you have an auto top off system mix the nutes at in the top off system at 2/3 strength of the system. That way as the plants eat and drink ( they drink more than they eat usually) they extra res at 2/3 feed back water and nutrients. That should be good to get ya to the next res change. And yes once you have added back 30 gals you want to do a res change in order to keep the nutrient ratios balanced.

Yes if you need to adjust the system itself that's good practice. And if you are steering ppm higher then yes a res of of higher ppm is also good practice

This might sound crazy but the 2/3 mix I don't understand that part so what ever I add back I only mix 2/3 of the strength I would have normally added for the same amount of water as if mixing new batch. Also I got my system set at 800 and in res my ppm in s 1100 roughly so tonight I have to add 10 gallons back to res. Ok have pics of the plants? Your system ppm might be a bit low if you are adding higher ppm back and your system ppm is dropping. Do i have that part right?

If so it would appear your plants want more food so you would need to bump the system ppm up.

It all depends on nutrient uptake and if you are steering stronger or lower. Steering stronger mix the res at 133% or there abouts if lower 66%. It's going to depend on how much nutrients the plants pull those number can change. If your underfeeding you may need more than 133% just to keep the ppm stable. It's an adjust as you go kinda thing and keep notes so next time you it's easy to see. Eventually you will know exactly but the first run and sometimes second your dialing it in. Then it gets easy. The first time is a pita.

Switching my soul plants under my phantom de balace set on ,50% the look sad asf this morning. I run 20/4. Is that normal when swithi g lights from t5 to doulble ender note two of plant auto flower and start pre flowering.

I grow under the same led start to finish. I would say it's normal for plants to stress a bit but when you move them start the light high and up the humidity a bit to take some stress off. Imo start the light as high as possible and lower over a couple days to let them adjust. Those lights have significantly more IR and a lot more intensity.

When I'm ready to switch lighting. I'll flush the entire system, tehn add my transition nute? Or do I change lighting time wait for ore flower the change out water with transition nutes? Beyond that after transition nutes are added do I start adding the scheduled nutes fir early bloom. How does this all work? The res is going to have bloom nutes in it for early bloom
I'll gradually raise it during topp off from early bloom nutes to the next stage. So much

Don't change any nutes till after the stretch about 3 weeks after flip if your going to. Personally I would just stick to grow nutes and reduce the ppm to about 600 for the second last week and 300 for the last week

Reduce ppm? Don't understand the last part of that. Yes I'll keep veg nutes till stretch is done then the pre flower start showing then transition nutes I'm still running gh for flower I'll be adding some big bud, mammoth p, and bud candy later in flower.
