Advice on my flip to hydroponics!?

I was thinking on taking an adventure into hydroponics and as a tent grower I think DWC is going to be my choice of systems would anyone have recommendations? It would be in a 5x5 tent under a 1000w DE HPS I think I could fit 6 5gal buckets in, Maybe 5?

If dialed in, the grow big and fast. This is one plant just beginning to flower in a 2x2, no way I could fit another. 6 might be tight! Happy growing.

This was my girl in. DWC format in a 2x5 tent. I say if your working with a 2x2 or 2x5 1 plant is plenty for space. They grow fast for sure. I LST’d her a little too much but still big girl.

That's why I'm thinking on buying a 6 bucket kit I won't use them all and it will give me a couple 5gals on the side for water

You can put a 3-5gl system together for under 100$. Make sure the washer is at least ( in and outer ) 1/4". PVC is what I'm using. Not much room for movement but then again, I'm not moving it.

4 x45 liter totes. With 8" baskets. Separate water. In case one gets sick. Install a way to fill and drain. Grow topped monsters. 4 in 5 gallons will work aswell. But with less water volume you have less room for roots. Go big I say. Easier. One central res can get sick and kill em all. I prefer keeping them separate. Let's you try supplements on one plant to see if they're any good first.

5 gallon buckets are about 5 bucks. Basket lids are about 3.50 and a roll of silicone tubing and an air pump is about another 100. And the clay pellets. Grow store has it for way less than a kit. If thats the road you take. It's easy.

I had a 5 gallon bucket DWC system and I had to update the bucket. The plant got way to big for the bucket Now I have her in a 12 gal bucket and things are working out much better. Keeps PH on track
