advice on taking cuts please :)

Love this forum thanks in advance for your help!
I have a little under 40 plants in a 4x8 running out of room quick, I plan to switch to 12/12 tonight but I am wondering when to take cuts because I do not know the sex of the plants yet? Someone told me to just take a few from each plant then just mark them and when the sex shows just throw away the male cuts along with the parent plant but this would waste space, water, nutes. rooters etc but if thats the only way I guess thats what I will do, any better ideas?

I like the clone before flower, but you can still clone @ the first sight of hair and be fine.

yeah you could cut clones at first sight of males or female hairs poken out.
this would save you alot of work, cash,etc.

you could throw everything into flower and as soon as you see the first sign of a female hair you then mark the cut the same as the mum and put into the clone room to root. you can take clones at anytime during veg or even flower but the longer the plant is in flower the harder it will be do root & then re0veg itself. taking clones 1-2 weeks into flower is fine and you should have very little probs! :rasta2:
