Someone said coco can't be overatered so easily as soil..maybe true but
if you prepare youre soil right it drains just as well.
To bottom of bin ~1/4 you can put those light brown balls ..whatever theyre called...
on top of them something like empty onion bag and then the soil mix without pressing at all. soil should have lots of chunky perlite and some sand.
It drains all extra water. and the water can be poured many times :)
Yeah this takes time but who doesn't like it? I know the plants do..

Thanks for the continued input fellas... definitely want to put some time into looking up coco coir. I've read a little so far and a lot of people have been telling me lately to give coco a shot right off the rip instead of a soil mix.

Anyone using coco and organic feeds? I'm curious how people are doing with such a combo cuz I was initially going to use a good soil, black diamond or ff organic, along with the FF nut trio which isn't completely organic but close. I don't want any hardcore chemical products involved and I don't want to have to flush the last two weeks to get out nasty salts... I'd like to keep everything as natural as possible, plants permitting of course ;)
