Air Blowers

Hey Farmers, do any of you use air blowers as a source of oxygen for your tubs?

This is an example of what I am talking about.



Seem to flow more air for the determined wattage of conventional air pumps.

Pros, Cons?

hope that sound isnt an issue. high pressure blowers whine & you must put air filter on intake. other than that theyre nice.

Multi, from what I have received sound is comparable and in most cases a lower DB than conventional piston air pumps. I believe the whine sound is only on startup but again, no first hand experience only what I have received from the manufacturers.

I mean if they are cheaper to run, less wattage, provide more air per watt and the noise is on par if not quieter, Im suprised people are not using them.

So the question is "Why not?"

Why not indeed. If they worked as you say, we would all be using them :) They are loud.

youre talking about two distinct sounds. i could sleep next to a humming linear pump but not the high pitched blower. i used to run em on banks of fish tanks
