every few days when I refill my drums of water I wipe the air stone tubes down cause they get slimy and nasty. Is that normal? I use Biogreen sometimes when I wipe them off, but usually not. Cause I usually have to unhook them to properly rinse them after. And thats a lot of work. SO, is aa little wipe down with a paper towel sufficient?

I read on another forum somewhere that one person was hooking up the air hose to a pump in a bucket and running diluted bleach or H2O2 through it for a few minutes. Seems like it will work for stuff that gets into the stones

I get slime sometimes and it is never a problem until it clogs your stones and reduces air flow... I just throw them in some H2O2 when I am cleaning my res out and then rinse them off and plug them back in (not in the res yet because the H2O2 will bubble out) and then throw them back in the res... When I don't have time to do that I just wipe them off and that seems to work fine too...
