Couldn't resist using a quote from a drunk buddy who was waiting on a bunch of us to leave for party.Away to the problem at hand. This is my 4th grow but my first using Coco. I decided since it was my first I would use the Canna line of products and follow their schedule. I was initially worried that the schedule did not include the addition of Cal/Mag, so I contacted Canna with my concerns explaining that I only use RO water.
I was assured this would not be a problem, all I had to do was add enough of my well water (before the softener) to bring the EC up to 0.2 and that would take care of the Cal/Mag.
So here I am at day 21 in the tent and starting to have problems that look like Cal/Mag deficiencies.
Here is some more back ground information:
I'm using a 5x5 Gorilla grow tent with a Gavita Pro 1000 DE fixture
Temp with the light on is around 25C and RH 23 to 27% (I know its low but I have done very well on a previous grow with the same) The light is set at 1000 watts and is at the top of the tent
Chronic feminized serious seeds, 5 plants in total
Straight canna coco coir in 23 L pots
I hand water with a minimum 20% runoff
This is the canna schedule for my last watering with 37L in the nutrient mixing tank @ 0.2 EC as recommended. Never used all of the 37L had 7 L left over.
85 ml A
85 ml B
74 ml Rhizotonic
93 ml Cannazym
Final EC of 1.3
pH 5.9
So I think its either over feeding or a Cal/Mag def. but I don't know for sure. The leaves are curling with spots of yellowing plus they seem to be drying out to point they crumble.
Not sure how to proceed I was thinking dropping the EC down to 1.0 and adding some Bontanicare Cal/Mag Plus. Maybe drop the pH down to 5.7.
Appreciate the help.
