Away to the problem at hand. This is my 4th grow but my first using Coco. I decided since it was my first I would use the Canna line of products and follow their schedule. I was initially worried that the schedule did not include the addition of Cal/Mag, so I contacted Canna with my concerns explaining that I only use RO water.
I was assured this would not be a problem, all I had to do was add enough of my well water (before the softener) to bring the EC up to 0.2 and that would take care of the Cal/Mag.
So here I am at day 21 in the tent and starting to have problems that look like Cal/Mag deficiencies.
Here is some more back ground information:
I'm using a 5x5 Gorilla grow tent with a Gavita Pro 1000 DE fixture
Temp with the light on is around 25C and RH 23 to 27% (I know its low but I have done very well on a previous grow with the same) The light is set at 1000 watts and is at the top of the tent
Chronic feminized serious seeds, 5 plants in total
Straight canna coco coir in 23 L pots
I hand water with a minimum 20% runoff

This is the canna schedule for my last watering with 37L in the nutrient mixing tank @ 0.2 EC as recommended. Never used all of the 37L had 7 L left over.

85 ml A
85 ml B
74 ml Rhizotonic
93 ml Cannazym
Final EC of 1.3
pH 5.9

So I think its either over feeding or a Cal/Mag def. but I don't know for sure. The leaves are curling with spots of yellowing plus they seem to be drying out to point they crumble.
Not sure how to proceed I was thinking dropping the EC down to 1.0 and adding some Bontanicare Cal/Mag Plus. Maybe drop the pH down to 5.7.
Appreciate the help.

Use straight ro with camg. I wouldn't add h2o from ur well to ur ro water as a camg supplement. Well water could be an issue as it can contain an abundance of metals. No camg can be an issue as u are growing in coco which tends to grab camg. Ur Gavita 1000w is over kill for a plant that size. Dim it down to its lowest setting and keep it 24"s above top of plant

The light is actually quite high above the plants but you might be right, it could be over saturating them especially at 18hrs. I have yoyo's I can get closer and drop to 600w.
What do think about Botanicare plus for Cal/Mag? I have been using for my other grows.

Did you 'precharge' your coco with calcium? Read up on 'CEC of coco'. Or don't... coco grabs calcium up. Look for a product that can be used as an alone for precharging coco.

How high is light? What are leaf temps? could be two of three probs?

No Canna doesn't recommend pre charging their coco. I can check the leaf temp tomorrow, I have a laser temp gun but I don't think its too high. The light is 5 feet above the plants.

Don't Believe Da Hype!! PRECHARGE that canna . Trust ME, your plants will thank you. . Z's right on, might wanna hang that hi powered ballast / light way HIGH. Unless you run a few more plants to SOG IT! Hows that ballast anyways? Was thinking of that brand!

The light is already 5 ft above the plants but I think I will take Z's advice and lower the wattage and lower the light as suggested.
Should I give it a shot of Cal/Mag plus right away?
The light is great, supper bright and compact. My first grow was my best using canna Terra nutrients and B'Cuzz soiless with serious seeds 5 plants all together and just over 32 oz. Nothing but trouble since!

Sent off an email to Canna explaining my problem, I'm curious as to what their course of action will be. I getting ready to water just waiting on my RO for enough water. I figure a lighter EC of fertilizer along with the max dosage of Bontanicare Cal/Mag Pro.
Just took these pics some are with a flash and one is in the tent.

I've never seen it in a plant this young, but that's looking like a Ca- to me. You can also give Ca via foliar feeding.
