All new strains to me

I'm starting out with variety so I can find my keepers. Got nothing in flowering yet but have feminized seedlings of chem#4, amnesia, green crack, critical kush that are doing nice. Regular eeds germinating of sour diesel, white lightning, & some old ones I found that I hope are from when my diesel hermed around 2011 (bad times in 2012 so everything is gone, 1 person may still have it but since he's reason everything is gone I refuse to contact him). Also acquired some small sickly plants that im nursing back to health & I'll be putting in flower soon (ak48, c99, of kush, skywalker og). Took clones of those in case any are keepers & am waiting for rooting before flowering anything. Also just ordered sour 91 seeds that I have high hopes for. Keeping fingers crossed for finding my perfect strain again. Now that I've explained myself a little I will take pics

Ive been hunting for that perfect strain myself for like 3 years now, was out of the game for a couple years & when I got back in it my prized strain had run its course, it had drifted so far it wouldn't even really flower anymore. It had been around as clone only since the mid 90's, can't believe it lasted that long, was a super fire kush, very much skunk & black licorice in flavor, hard core skunk smell. So I have been playing with real deal GG#4 S1 seeds & real deal wedding cake S1's seeds pheno hunting, found a super fire GG4 S1 pheno out of 5 so far, tastes very sweet & floral, instant high, long lasting, it will end peoples day + it yields great. I recently got a superglue OG clone, when done right it tastes a lot like old skool G13 x NL#5, really liking it, haven't had any finished product myself yet but the finished product that the person I got it from gets is fantastic if you liked G13 x NL#5 in the 1990's! I also have some purple Chemdog S1 seeds going but I haven't played with many so far, just 2 & I'm not super happy with either one so far, I mean they are fine, they taste really good but I am looking for a different pheno than what i have found so far.. Just keep at it, it might take time but you will find something that you will be thrilled with growing even if it's not like what you once had!

The 4 bigger ones were untrimmed/untrained sticks with some leaves that were rootbound & infested with fungus gnats, I've been taking clones & nursing them back to health. C99 is weakling for sure, skywalker og & og kush are the champs so far, the ak48 is mediocre.

C99 is front right, ak48 front left, skywalker og back left, og kush back right
I had to chop off top 1/3 of those 4 so I made those cuts into woody clones & I'm shocked that 3 of 4 seem to be rooting (c99 bad shape).
Took 2 more clones of each few days ago & put them in root gel & jiffy pots in veg tent

And the seedlings are doing well

AK-48 was a super kickass strain back in the day,different high than the 47,more of a couchlocker,very potent.

I just love growing, bonus if I can recreate my favorite. I'm terrible with names of strains I've tried throughout years but I'm sure I've had GG at some point, I remember NL though. By the time naming strains was a thing in midwest I had my own sour d & some big bud for the ppl who couldn't handle the SD lol so I just never paid attention to names. I'm going to stick to mostly sativa dom since I'm old & like the heady stuff.
I have herm bag seed from a wedding cake & a jedi. I have good luck with herms so I'll try to germinate them. The SD I had was light & heat sensitive but I could usually get her to behave, she did herm once on my watch when ice storm caused power failure when she was already stressed from no water & fungus gnats (how he accomplished both at once still amazes me) under my exroomates care, person I got her from said she would herm if you looked at her wrong but she liked me I guess lol

I'll give that one to my sweetie then, I'm more of a sativa fan in general, uplifting vs couch lol. Im honestly not sure if the 4 original plants are what they say they are, shady ppls word doesn't go far with me but we will find out after I flower. The seeds I got from reputable places & I'm still not sure of them. Hopefully the sour 91 I ordered are for real, that might be close to what I'm looking for
Cant wait to try them all though, even the indices, just because I prefer sativa doesn't mean I will turn down an indica

Here to watch, gotta make a journal of my own here soon. I like making my own too. Always trying to recreate the BruceBanner3, I have an original cut, and the strains to make it. But that quest is always ongoing, nothings compared to the real one yet.
Love that idea of germing on the tent roof, way to be efficient!
Also used to have a SD cut that was very sensitive, eventually let er go I figure theres a ton of SD around if I want to check it out again.

My SD was a clone that came from deadhead that got it at phish show in mid-late 90s, he called it nyc diesel but I've seen what most people call nyc diesel & that's not what I had. Mine was a pretty lime green cola, dark green leaves, lots of purple undertone, orange hairs & covered in white. High was best, I would have kept her if I could even if she hermed once in a while

Nice, description of your diesel is pretty similar to mine, but not what I have seen in real dispensaries. The high was great though, I made a few o's of hash from the last run and thats still got me covered. Seriously uplifting creative stuff that is.

My herm issues were pretty intense though, I would run it in its own space. Never minded a few seeds though, I remember when it all had seeds haha. Those seeds were always all bunk though, some straight hermies from the start. Probably almost good to throw in a forest and make its own "landrace"

I don't have much hope for my herm seeds to work out but I wont be happy unless I try. I'm oddly lucky sometimes, do what feels right & it works out somehow even if it doesn't end as planned

And I too remember the days when it all had seeds, there was some good weed in there sometimes though. Used to be happy just to smoke & then a friend needed help in his stuff so I got hooked on growing. Happy I can legally do it now, it's been 8ish years since I've been able to

Cant run that much power, apt living, sucky, 1 each 15a & 20a breakers to use for all outlets, blew breaker just with 2 heaters in different rooms so pushing power supply with 2 LEDs & fan. Used to run 1000w hid system, hopefully leds aren't terrible

Had a GG#4 hermie on me. Only a few make flowers. I had in the tent in flower strawberry kiwi and org super of kush. Seeds in all of them. Pissed at the seeds, but happy to play with them. Hermies produce potent buds. There just small from what I've seen.

New seeds are starting to pop, still nothing on old seeds. Original clones are all rooted. New jiffy plug clones are rooted or showing root bumps except for the 2 ak48s. Original c99 that was really sick seems to be coming back quickly. Haven't caught any new fungus gnats in days & leaf tacos seem to be easing up. Gave full nute dose of gh combo to original plants & seedlings, waiting to see which ones are ok with that. Topped/fimmed 2 bigger seedlings & 4 original plants today. The critical kush seedling is deformed though, gonna have to keep eye on that one

My next goal is to graft (haven't tried that yet) a lot of the strains I'm just trying to a good mom so I can have variety and stay within legal plant number limit. Looks easy enough, just have to pick good root stock for mom. So far the 2 ogs seem strongest but new seedlings growing now may b better, waiting game

African land races would be a dream. Still state by state legalization here (no crossing state lines) and I've seen too many good people get hurt over stupid things so I don't consider individual shipping a safe thing for here yet. I would hate to accept your offer and have either of us get any kind of backlash. My goal is to help people not unintentionally get them in bad situation. I think federal rules will be relaxing eventually though...
