It reminds me of the amnesia core cut but replace the lemon bubblegum terps with lime zest. Unfortunately I lost that pheno after first run goddammit

Thanks for the recommendation, i am going to grow mostly haze crosses for a while
i notice from the amnesia i have sampled locally folk are cheating and growing indica doms lol
makes sense though cuts 3-4 weeks off the harvest time

i have looked at SM quite a few times she does look very pretty in the photo with those oversize calyx
she is on my list :)

have you grown anything from delta 9 labs ?
i am going to give one or two of their crosses a run (brainstorm haze) (fruit of the gods)

Great thread mate I'm in uk aswell
Nft is the only way I've not tryd growing. Have you ever had root rot is there no need for a chiller
I like the lack of leaf on all your plants ,do you do any plucking. On average how long do you veg from rooted cutting
Sorry for all the questions I'm thinking about trying nft on a larger scale

never had any root issues
never used a chiller
i do pick some leaves off it gives me something to do
from seed recently i have been vegging for 2 weeks and i am happy with the results
previously i would of vegged for about 4 weeks or until i see preflowers then i would remove males

from clone it would vary a great deal, i have been flowering a fair few old mother plants that have been cutdown over time

i would normally try to get a clone to be about 8 inches tall before flower
this would be around 5 days of veg after coming out of a propagator, or when the roots have emerged from the 3 inch rockwool blocks and have hit the tray a plant like this could yield anything from 3 oz to 8 oz depending on genetics,
if i grow them a little bit longer 15 days to 3 weeks they can be 1.5 to 2 ft tall and typically yield 4 to 16 oz ,
i tend to select plants that are vigorous during the first few weeks of flower
its been a long time since i have kept a plant that did not stretch during flower as i do not like wasting time on veg

some indicas i have grown in the past take 4-5 weeks to just get them 2ft tall in veg
they only stretch 6 inches if that and only yield 4 oz

nft is a good option for large scale as its very cheap to set up and easy to build your own system
with the res in the center (multi duct systems) you can have a tray on both sides of the res these work well with 2 or 4 x 6ft trays on a single pump per res

peace

Thanks for taking the time to reply
That's impressive that a 8inch plant can yield at least 3oz what would a average yield be off of a 600watt light
Yes I grow more indicas so I no what your saying I'm gonna have to try a hybrid that has stretch in nft as a test
I will let you no how it goes an fire some more questions at you if ok

an 8 inch plant (clone) will stretch to 3ft on average, this might not be the case if i were growing more indica dominated plants

on average i would get 16 to 18 oz per 600w

from seed with the right genetics (sativa) its possible to produce much larger yields from a single plant as seed plants will stretch to a bigger size from a 4 inch seedling that is 2-3 weeks old this could end up a 5ft 1lb plant in 10 weeks
i have found that when flowering seedlings at 2-3 weeks the onset of flowering can be delayed but overall
i am still finishing them in the same amount of time, they catch up at around 6-7 weeks
so that by 6-7 weeks of flower a seed plant that had 4-5 weeks of veg will be at the same maturity as a seed plant that
only had 2-3 weeks of veg, this is why i am only vegging for 2 weeks now with seeds it does save some time

i would advise you to grow some haze or blue cheese or similar sativa dominated genetics so that you can witness
the tremendous vigour that occurs between 1-4 weeks of 12/12
during this phase the plants grow at a rate that is several times faster than when they are in a veg period, they can grow several feet in a few weeks producing many side branches too

I will defo be taking your advice on board an giving this a try
So would you place a seed straight into a rockwool cube and soon as any roots show through the bottom put it straight in the nft system , (any nutes this young )
Is your two weeks after they have sprouted from seed
Do you do any topping or super cropping and what weeks do you do any leaf stripping
As for blue cheese I had some cuttings before that had the smallest amount of stretch I've ever seen and yet another friend of mine grows a different blue cheese that stretches a lot
Thanks again

i would put the seeds flat on 1 inch rockwool cubes when the tap root is 1cm i would push it inside the cube
and put it back in the propagator for another day, i usually have them under the light on the nft within 4-5 days
of starting germination, it takes about 3 days after this for the tap root to grow out the bottom of the 1 inch cube
i then put this in a 3 inch cube, another few days later the roots will emerge out of the 3 inch blocks
i have found that seedlings will still grow into pretty big plants if they are flowered when the stem of the seedlings
has become thick from top to bottom this happens at around 14 days
for the first 8-9 days growth is very slow, between 10 and 14 days things really speed up

i would suggest it is a good idea to try 50/50 or 60/40 f1 hybrids and select the most vigorous sativa dominated phenotypes
rather than growing kali mist or something like that

you will get indica dominated phenos growing blue cheese but you can discard them and keep the vigours sativa ones
this was a cheese dom of blue cheese from dinafem, it got this big after 3 weeks of veg, it was one of the smallest seedlings on that current run before flower

some growers think that to get a plant big it requires lots of veg time, this will work too
but the alternative is growing sativa genetics, here veg time is not so important as most of the growing
will occur between weeks 1-4 of flower
growing hydroponically helps speed things up a bit and it may make the plant a little larger
however if this same plant were grown in a large soil container that allowed for plenty of rooting it would of ended up a similar size most likely would of taken longer and had a few spider mites lol

Just read it all.

Great thread!

I'm grabbing a seat.

Thanks :)

Amnesia dried hung up for 7 days on the branches then nugged up dried for another 2 days
total yield is 31.5 oz 26.5 oz in the pictures (cola and medium buds mixed together)
5 oz of smaller shitty buds with no density not worth taking a picture of
ill do a smoke report on it soon the quality is average nothing special, pretty good for the yield though

seeds have not gone according to plan the jack onesa has very slow germination the la choc not much better

blz and sunshine daydream were both perfect both having over 1cm long taproots on all seedlings after 48 hours
pic taken 2 days under the light (4 days after starting)

Nice yield that's a lot from one plant I've brought nfr tray and as it happens I started to germinate seeds yesterday so hopefully I can keep a few days behind you in trying berry bomb seeds looks like they should stretch so will see

I must say @NFT this is one of the nicer grow journals I have seen in a long time. I just spent 1.5 hrs from the beginning. Not sure how the hell I missed this one. I was hip to NFT style back in the early 70's a roomate of mine at that time was dabbling with NFT way before it came out in full force commercially. You are absolutely killing it. Much respect, mucho props . I am def impressed by your skillz. Will be along for the rest of the show!!!!

Thanks for the kind words
i repeat what works and remove whats unnecessary, minimizing the amount of variables tends to equal fewer problems
keeping it as simple as possible

i got lucky finding NFT early on, i have 20 years of successful grow experience using this system

Ahhhhh, yes I am a believer in the KISS method as well.
