So today i went back to my plants (i visit them every 2 days to water them) and today was feeding day. But when i went to look at the plants 2 out of the 5 had new leaves that were curling downward pretty bad. It wasn’t any of the old leaves just newer ones. Something that i should note is last week i used the fox farms trio for the first time and when putting the fertilizer in the water I put 3 tablespoons of the grow big instead of 3 teaspoons into a gallon of water.

The other 3 plants all are growing great and the leaves are looking good but any advice on the other 2 would be great! Thanks in advance!

Hey bom , your plants look pretty good , what are they growing in ?
Look a little overwatered , do you give them a dry cycle ?
What size container are they in ?
Are you going to up pot to larger ?
The reason I ask what they are potted in is because they may be a little hungry if there is no nutrient in the mix , also might be your camera flash that made them appear a little yellow , if not then they probably will perk up with recent feeding , I don't think the measurement you used will negatively affect them .....

Yea i know it was too late when i noticed my error i had already poured the water in their soil. This curl is about one week after i messed up their first set of nutrients.
So dude 3 tsp and 3 tbs are totally different.
did the curl happen before or after the watering.

So the picture i attached is the bag of the soil i am using it’s called Mother Earth terracraft potting soil. As for a dry cycle how long would you consider a dry cycle? I go and water them pretty heavily every 2 days but when i go the soil is pretty dry. I am in a city a little outside of Los Angeles and it’s been in the 90’s daily and I’m afraid if i water every 3 they would get too dry, but then again this is my first time growing so idk really how long to wait.
They are currently in 1 gal fabric pots and i was planning on moving them into 3 gal pots this coming up week.
As for the color of the leaf that is what it looks like i didn’t use flash in the photo’s

Hey B , pretty dry is fine , I was afraid you weren't giving them a chance to dry at all . Like constant wet or damp , the plants can handle a dry day or two , but overwatering will cause problems
If you are going to up pot , now may be a good time to do it if the roots have a nice system going , you can gently pop one out and see if the roots fill the pot ....
Then you can re fresh with your organic mix , it looks like good stuff , add 20 percent more perlite from Home Depot , or where ever you can get it ....
I think that's a good way for the plant to re set in fresh conditions .......

Actually looks like plenty of perlite already in the mix ......

Thank you so much for the advice will certainly check and if they’re ready up pot them as soon as possible! I’ll also start watering every 3 days and see if it makes a difference. Do you think 1 gal to 3 gal is fine or should i go for the 5 gal when i get the new pots ?

Hey b , up potting depends on many circumstances , if you are outdoor and have quite a bit of grow season , then I would go to 5 gal for a larger plant

I have to check to see when your zone begins flower ,
But generally a 5 or bigger is great

I also think if you gave a toxic dose of nutes , I'm not familiar with what you are using , so I can't say if you overdosed , but it seems like popular opinion from others might suggest that ...
I would say getting the roots back into a gentle organic mix will rapidly recover them ....

UPDATE!!! I went to go water today and these girls have grown so much in the past 3 days! Also most of the curled leaves aren’t curled anymore. There still was some but not as much! I have my 5 gallon pots coming in tomorrow and plan to up pot them on Saturday!

Update: i put them into the 5 gallon pots last week and gave them nutrients on Sunday. They’re thriving and i am finally able to tell that 4 of them are females! The first one still isn’t showing but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
