How do the roots stay in the bucket and not get sucked down the tube linking the buckets??

I am contemplating getting some of these if they can be ran with pure organics.

When the pumps are sized properly there's not excessive negative pressure in the tubes to draw the roots in. If this is a worry for you go with the 3" and 13 gallon mods.

Pure Organics+UC=Headaches

Consider a different system if pure organics is your criteria, maybe waterfarm/ecogrower with a soilless mix. IMO
