UPDATE: GROW-WEEK-5-D49 - G5GW5D1 - Monday 15 June 2020
Day 49- Since germination
Weekly Target PPM - Now have a full load of enzymes which accounts for about 100-150 ppm. Add to that my 50 ppm meter error and that puts my real number @ between 890-840 ppm.

PH=OK PPM=OK Temp=OK

Coming along nicely !! 🍻 🥂 😎

Coming along nicely. This is the first time i have gone without CalMag during a grow. It should be interesting. 12-15 asprin and maintain my "sweet" product which contains the Mag. 🍻 🥂 😎

Good shit bro.

Good shit bro.

TY

btw. I have an observation that you might comment on.

I noticed that on this grow with the new Kind veg bar light, that my plants are shorter and wider than in previous grows from the same batch of seeds. Is the difference because I changed from using 4-T5's during veg to using a true veg light?

Thanks

Same strains bro? Most of all spectrum if they lean more blue like going from 4k to 5k you will definitely see a difference in shorter node spacing and over all more leaf surface area. Intensity can make a difference but unless you were way underlighting before its probably not the primary cause

You mean like this...
The X80 Vegetative Spectrum:

The Vegetative Bar Lights are biased on the blue end of the spectrum and are great for all leafy greens and plants that need to remain in a Vegetative stage before initiating Flowering.

This pair of pictures tells the full story, in full glory.

The top photo is from my last grow using 4 t-5's

The bottom photo is my current grow using the new Kind LED Light Bar

Both photos were taken during the same week-5/6

I am convinced; the new light is a keeper, have just ordered another for the grow coming online in two weeks. Candy Cane 🥳
BTW @Aquaman... does the increased spectrum mean less stretch? or do i still have to plan for 4ft plants?

If you keep that light through stretch yes it will reduce the stretch compared to your last light

I think its more light intensity overall.
And they look great!

Thanks MIMed!.

The flower light models did not change. As a matter of fact they are about 18 to 20 inches further from the tops in the tent than in the cabinet (their position is fixed). So could intensity really be the issue? If i had gone with the HLG-650's which would double the power output of my flower lights (including the IR ratings), then I could believe & understand intensity being the sole issue. 🍻

Great White Mycorrhizae - What are your thoughts & experiences?
0-0-0, it is a mix of water soluble beneficial microbes to help stimulate the micro herd not an actual fertilizer.

This is from my local State Ag Dept.
". . . Mycorrhizae are the equivalent of a root for fungi, and they play a key role in plant growth by a strong symbiotic (mutually beneficial) relationship with the plant roots. Hydroponic plants with mycorrhizae tend to be healthier and yield better than those without, just as in soil . . ."

OK. Continuing on my journey to reduce the maximum ppm levels during the grow; I have finally decided which beneficial bacteria i will be using as i replace the PlusLife product. I like what i have read about Great White Mycorrhizae with an N-P-K value of 0-0-0. It appears to be a fine powder that will totally disappear when dissolved in the rez, resulting in little to no increase in PPM.

For those of you who have used it; what did you think? Are the ppm's as low as i expect them to be?

Has anyone heard of any BAD experiences with this specific product?

Thanks in advance. 🍻 😎

Haven't used it but looks good

Lamp age and distance are huge variables for actual intensity. The relationship for distance alone is not linear.

It is important to model lamps as photon sources, specifically. And understand the human eye is a lousy judge for parsing photon streams.
