Stuff works good. Peat moss is common. I suggest cutting whatever you get with a whole bag of perlite. Only problem with miracle grow is the time released nutrients. It will grow a good plant though just high nitrogen in flower was my issue. The little green balls are the time release. For $10 or so you can get a block of peat ( pro mix) at Home Depot. About 5+ of those bags. And if you’re going to roll the dice on anything but some mykos I got 2 100g trial bars. I won’t run soil without it now. Whole world of difference.

It’s good for preventing root rot BUT it is also susceptible to algae growth in high humidity areas. I personally wouldn’t use just peat moss.

Stay away from miracle grow products... pro mix, happy frog... add perlite to any peat moss mix.
Straight peat moss will cause problems.
