Hey farmers! Have been doing much research into regenerative farming. Have been interested in bio char. Biochar ifrom my understanding is condominiums for micos. A place for them to stay. Been wanting to incorporate, but labor seems intensive. Getting the wood. Cooking it off etc... saw a post about using clean charcoal as a substitute for biochar. Just grind up your coals, mix in water and drench. Is anyone using charcoal as biochar? How is it working? Do you charge it firs, or let it ride raw? Anyone doing biochar?

Biochar and charcoal are not the same things.

What kind of grow is this for? A large, outdoor grow? If so, what kind of soil?

Yes. I understand this. Is why I said substitution. Question is, are you doing it, and if so, how are you doing it, and have you seen a difference?

Yes, we made our own biochar. Gather small dry wood chips, chopping to same size, cooking it off in a special sealed can. Crushing it into smallest pieces and soaking in whatever nutrients you want to infuse into the biochar. A time intensive job. It was fun.
