I’m looking for a grow box like a heyabby box but not trying to pay the price of it. I’m terrible at keeping any plant alive so I’m looking for something that I can be as hands off as possible. I have a tent I’m going to try and grow in too just looking for an idea to make sure I have at least one plant to harvest

Get a regular tent setup and use earthboxes with build a soil 3.0 recipe. All you will have to do is re amend the soil a couple times per grow and dump water down the hole.

I currently have a 2x2x4 set up I got from Vivosun. I always been fascinated on how hands off those heyabby boxes are and was just wondering if there was a similar box for cheaper or a completely better way to do it in the tent

I was also thinking about getting the flex feed drip irrigation from Vivosun to make it a little easier

Instead of investing in a grow box, invest in a bigger or at least taller tent.
You could do so much more with a 72"-80" tall tent.
The price of those boxes are quite expensive when compared to what you get when buying a tent and other components separately.

When I first started growing, I bought a $700 Stealth Box. 1st one arrived damage so I got a 2nd free, fixed the 1st one.
Yeah, they still grew bud but the yields weren't nearly enough to get me to the next harvest, even with having a 2nd box, and a big reason for growing is so you don't need to purchase anymore.
Now it's s $700 seedling box, plants stay in Stealth Box until transplant then in the tent.

For automation look at AC Infinity kits or buy individual pieces.
AC Infinity Controller 69 can control your lights, temp, humidity, vpd, and even work with lots of non AC Infinity equipment with the proper adapters.

They just released an AI controller that learns from it's environment to control equipment better automatically and gives the grower tips and insights.

You can make a simple drip irrigation system that doesn't break the bank that can be ran automatically with either the Controller 69 with UIS outlet or something like a wifi smart plug.
You will need to either ammend your soil with organic nutrients and use plain water in your reservoir or use synthetic nutrients in the water in the reservoir. Organic nutrients in the water will clog the drippers.

you can try hydro dwc.you just have to check the numbers and follow them no guessing. lots of work but even an idiot can keep the plant alive

I agree the height is biggest benefit. Seems like I often run out of height in my 2x4s and the 5x5 I don’t seem to have the problem. Every tent I have has the model 69 controller. I wish aci would do a trade in program. I’ve owned every controller they have sold. Curious about the new ai controller.

Just not trynna spend 300+ on a light so I’m trynna find a little cheaper light for the 500watt or 400watt light

Don’t waste your money. Buy a light that is going to be exactly what you want. No reason to spend 200 fight your way through a couple grows before you relies it’s not cutting it. Then have to spend the money on it anyways. Lights have come way down in price. When I purchased my luxx it was 1200 bucks. Now I can get a way better light for 500. If you need to do it in small increments buy a acinfinty ion board s22. They are 100 dollars. It will take four to do a 4x4. You can daisy chain them together and run them all off one controller.

My little brother and step father have been growing for years ahead of me. They said they will help me and look after my plants with me as well so I don’t mess them up so getting a new tent and light won’t do anything but benefit from it but of course I am always open for suggestions. I’m growing for personal use. I smoke a lot and just trying to cut down my expenses for it down

You need to make sure the light has Samsung lm301h or lm301b diodes and needs to be dimmable. But even at that. Some lights are not sealed good and will dry if they get too much humidity. I would look at the acinfinity stuff. It is just a little more expensive. But they have super good customer service. Me personally I really like my 2x4s. It’s easy to access all the plants. You can push it tight to the wall. My 5x5 I have off the wall so I can access all the way around the tent. But it is a big pain in the ass going behind it in the little gap. You can setup a complet 2x4 for about 600 bucks total.

If you’re looking for simple, a GroBucket is about as easy as it gets. You’ll probably need a taller tent though. You install these pieces in a standard 5 gallon bucket.

I’d fill it with Pro-Mix HP medium and use an all in one fertilizer like Jacks. Then you just keep the reservoir filled and wait for harvest.

I'm not a fan of Vivosun, known for lying about specs.
Ask me how I know.......

$500 gets you everything you need in this AC Infinity kit and is 6 feet tall

Comes with the Controller 69 Pro to Automate your grow with complete control and monitoring from your cell phone

CANUCK10 gives you 10% off and the order will ship free

Solid advise. Not to mention there is nothing worse than having a zipper break mid grow.
