I've found myself riding my mtb alone during the weekdays, so if anyone is up for a mt. bike ride or snowboarding hit me up. For mtb, I usually ride Heil, Hall, Bobcat Ridge but can get down to the Golden area too. It's still summer down here!

I don't have a ski pass so I can go pretty much anywhere... but I'm not really interested in going boarding unless it's a non-vacation weekday with good snow, otherwise I'd rather ride my bike and not deal with the traffic. I pretty much ride steeps and trees and avoid groomers and the park.

Hope you guys are having a great holidays! I am BURIED in BUDS... not complaining but I'll be working all through the holidays!

Dorje, the wife and i are getting boards right when we get back amd season passes to eldo outta ned. Im planning on going 5 days a week till i go pro..haha

hit greenmopho up, will drag his ass with us.

I hate you guys right now!!! LOL.

I was just thinking of how much I miss livinig in Dillon. I had so much fun stuff to do at any given time.
I used to live there about 10 years ago. I left when fucking el nino came and there was no snow. Remember those Fuck El Nino shirts? I created them.
I would give my left nut to go back and hit up A basin on the Willy's wide or The Corner Chute on the Upper East Wall.
I remember waiting for them to blast that fucker for avalanches and we would hike that bitch. I am so glad I never ate shit coming down them. Also the Windows in the OUtback in Keytone was a fucking best tree ride ever.
I used to work at the Kickapoo Tavern for years there. Miss that too. Now I am just sitting on my ass in Portland Oregon getting fucking rained on with nothing to do.
I moved back here when they passed the medical marijuana laws.
I am trying to convince my wife that up in Summit it will be a way better place to raise our 2 kids. There is so much to do and not get bored.
Actually I wuold say my favorite memories is from Loveland Pass night time riding on a full moon. If you have not experienced that you need to. Oh I miss dave's wave and the Ironing board.

ha smokey- i didn't know u used to live there. let me know if you come visit, fiance and i have a sick spot on Hoosier Pass at the headwaters of the Blue Riv.

I am thinking of taking a little getaway. I need one after my mother passed away a few months ago. I need to re group anyway.
How is the snow this year?

The last time I went for a visit, I could not find one person I knew. It is sad how people come and go up there.

hey smokey....your missing one. two in the pink, one in the stink

I just bought myself a new neversummer board and some Union force bindings. I am new to CO from the ice coast so i dont know if I could keep with you guys on the steeps/trees but we should all get together for a pow day during the week.

would love to go mountain biking but my bike just got snagged from my balcony :mad0233:

just got it this past june too, it was brand new. i'll let you know when i get a new ride

Dorje, my little bro is trying to get me into mountain biking, probably be this spring before I get on a bike though since I haven't put enough time in on the slopes yet. Hit us up when the snow is good, we're skiing Breck, A basin, and Keystone but need to make a trip to Vail. We gota talk DSM's sometime!

Sorry man, that sucks. The snow is pretty awesome for this time of year. The mountains are def. a transition zone for a lot of people... I almost moved up there for a few years but had a job in Boulder that payed a lot more than ski patrolling would have.

NugNation, sorry to hear your bike got stolen, I hope they find the pricks. Any bike worth more than $100 has to be kept from view in Boulder, I had one stolen as a freshman in college years ago.

Everyone, thanks for the responses! I am planning on going snowboarding again after the new year, for now I have a ton of work and its probably better to avoid the whole mess during the holidays. I hate sitting in I70 Traffic...

I can relate, buddy. It's been a couple of years since I've been on the hill due to the same gig. Lately my back has felt much better and I could probably get out there if I wanted to....but the thought of >anything< happening and having a reinjury always makes me reconsider. After almost 30 Winters of living up here...I miss it but it isn't >THE< priority to me it once was.

be safe out there folks!
