I had 2 lemon cherry gelatos growing but one turned out to be male. I just planted 2 Thai xxl seeds and was thinking I could get rid of 1 since I already have 2 plants still in flower. I'm just wondering if y'all think a Thai xxl cross with cherry gelato would be fire

Thai has a nice uplifting high.and gelato i had lots of types bit yea could be cool.do you like the look of the plant?

When in doubt... pollinate! The worst thing that could happen is a wasted run or two trying them out after. I just grew an f2 generation seed from a cross I made that was very disappointing. I'm lucky I didn't fill a whole tent with them. That's just part of breeding but it's extremely satisfying anyway.

I actually love the Thai. Have you ever pollinated with a syringe? That is how I would do it. Minimal seeds. Only pollinate your lower branch or branches. Be careful not to do it on a windy day. Just a touch of pollen goes a long way. Do you see balls? If so it may have already happened.
When you take that male down, use a trash bag or something of the like to cover the plant so it doesn’t just blow a wad on your girl(s).

I’ve also found when doing local pollination that I just use RO water on a Q-tip and then dab a Q-tip in pollen. Bobs your uncle.

I assume you’re using ro water in the syringe or are you just using the needlepoint and dipping it into pollen dry and applying it that way??

No I add a bit of H20. The Q tip method sounds great.
With the syringe I have been able to just pollinate one or two flowers. Just get about 5-9 seeds at best, then just clone from there. I just don’t really like having to deal with males with the next generation.
We bred Godfather OG with Lemon Super Shining Haze a few years ago. They have been great. All my buddies can’t figure out what it really is. I’ve been calling it Father Lemon. Great genetics!!! It’s a great hybrid that usually yields between 12-18 ozs cured. Smell and taste is unreal!
I will send in some pics of them next time I make it to that location.
Btw I have friends(stink bugs) that have taken up residence on a few of my plants in the garden, so I moved about 10 out to a few of my ladies. Those damn things are great pest deterrents!
