Unless your room is totally dialed in co2 is a waste. Personally I do not like putting an open flame in my room. I use a johnson co2 generator,it is one of the biggest,my thinking it will not be running much.
I would light off some white gas in my room and see if you like that smell in your room first,watch as the gas runs out and see how much soot is put out. JK
