I am trying to find out more about them but on a commercial level. I have found plenty impressive but small setups. I am new to this forum so its quite possible I missed some posts on it here.

Any help here would be appreciated!

A lot of commercial guys run verts side-by-side with hoods. You're right, there's quite a few threads here with this type setup on here, jsut gotta dig for em. Look in the under current grows, there's a few massive scale guys that use a combo, there was even a guy that did liquid cooled vertical lights.

I use verticals in large scale format...what are you trying to find out?

Thanks!! I am looking at these now. I knew there were posts that I just hadn't unearthed here.

I am working with a commercial grow team and we are building a new grow (full disclosure: I am not a grower at all. I am one of the co-owners of the company). I have seen one, maybe two videos about vertical grows and I wanted to ask someone with experience:

1. yeild/sf - since you're essentially cutting off the DEPTH of the canopy, is that lowering your yeild/sf?

2. yeild/watt - since you're using one light to power two canopies, is that doubling your yeild/watt

Im sure I have more but I will start there.

THANKS!!

I consistently get 2lbs a light on average. not sure what you mean by depth, are you referring to light penetration?

2. yeild/watt - since you're using one light to power two canopies, is that doubling your yeild/watt

Are you refering to 2 plant canopies? If so i have 4 plants per light so it would be 4 canopies.

Im sure I have more but I will start there.

THANKS!!

1. What do you mean by cutting off the DEPTH? You can grow trees in a properly set up environment and your yield should see an increase due to the "larf" being able to bulk up.

2. Not necessarily. I think you're getting side tracked by light orientation here. You want to be considering your watts/sq. ft. regardless how you hang your bulbs. Total yield depends on many factors, lighting just one of them.
